China Doll — Restaurant in Louisiana

The food is great. It’s just the workers there unbelievably rude disrespectful and just want your money that’s it plain and simple the room. There is very limited parking at the peak of lunch hour is difficult because it’s in a plaza with other businesses so I just left there. I’ve been there two days back to back, I was in the military and first day I got a military discount so today I didn’t get a military discount. They asked the manager in reference about me getting my Discount. The lady looked at me, rolled her eyes, put on her mask and went in the back and said no, I went behind her to question her to understand why I didn’t get a discount this time. She really didn’t give me a answer. She just caught her neck and said no we don’t do that here and I showed her proof that I did get a military discount yesterday so she left it there and Her workers were extremely rude and nonchalant. It’s a business. Don’t have me pay for something one day this price and then another day is a total different price so I took the liberty to take pictures of this evil demonic looking woman and every single time a black person would come in. She would adjust her mask so she doesn’t catch Covid or anything. I guess I was so funny when a white person goes in there, she usher them and escort them to their table and extremely polite, but I noticed people ordering food to go. They got their food quicker than the people they’ve been waiting there longer. How ironic is it so I say this out loud the food is great. The people are not and the manager, the owner they just want your money that’s all and again do your sales a favor and go somewhere else and get Chinese food where the people are polite and prices don’t change so great but honestly, I pay for the food that I just gave it away. I wish the food ,matched the prices! I am not a cheap person , & I don't mind spending money to eat out @times ,but I want the quality to match the prices !

10/19/23 Husband & I went to china Doll today @ lunchtime & he said " The food was better " & I agree .They give large portions of food , the parking is good , The building is larger, the waiting lines are long, and over the years, some redecorating has been done, we find the food quality is inconsistent! as an original, long-term customer from time- time I drop in b/c I love their Empress Lo mein & Shrimp Fried Rice.

12/05/23 my granddaughter treated me to China Doll today & we had an order of Crab Rangoon, ChoChos, Egg Rolls, Chicken & Broccoli,W/ Shrimp fried rice & Boneless Fried Chicken W/ Shrimp Fried rice TakeOut & we really enjoyed ourselves.

China Doll has the best Chinese food in the Westbank. I've never had problems here and my food is always hot (big portions). But there's room for improvements and I am surprised the owner has not addressed the issues for takeout. With Covid-19 there's now a large demand for takeout orders. You have a better chance at winning the Powerball than getting them to answer the phone for takeout. They need a dedicated VoIP to answer phone calls not your grandma's home phone from 25 years ago. A online ordering system would also be a HUGE improvement for business. The old business model without the use of the internet is obsolete now.
