As we first walked in @5pm (when it reopens for dinner) we noticed it was quiet and open spaced, so patrons could sit far apart and have privacy at their tables. We ordered the Taj Majal Indian Beer and our waiter split it between 3 of us (one glass each). It was might and smooth. It has a very elegant refined vibe and smells wonderful!!!!! Even in the bathrooms!
We ordered the recommended cauliflower Veggie Appetizer And also got the lightly fried chicken appetizer and both were EXCELLENT!!! They come with sauces that really add divine flavor! It was filled with many flavors and spices so we ate slowly so that everyone could enjoy while we balanced out the intense, aromatic spices into the body.
Almost immediately we were laughing a lot and feeling the euphoria of the delicious food. Then we ordered the lamb and goat Curry recommended Dishes. Excellent and super tasty as well!! I must say the goat exceeded any expectations and I will definitely have it again. I recommend trying the goat and sauce on their pita garlic bread. MMMMMMM!!!!! Heaven in a bite!!!!
The waiters were friendly and had a very classy upscale air about them throughout our entire dinner. We were never rushed but they were also there when we needed them. I asked if they could surprise my friend when we order dessert with birthday candles and they were smoothly RIGHT ON TOP OF IT!!!!! They made it an awesome experience for us!!!! They sang happy birthday with us and took pictures with us!! They were fun, cool, and welcoming. Our service was with Sandip and Durrell. :) :). The dessert was quite exquisite and an unexpected “Indian flavored” experience for me that I hadn’t expected yet was very pleasantly surprised with!! The new taste bud exploration was lots of fun and yummy! :] :p. They also gave us “to-go” menus and deliver food service as well!! Thank you, for giving us a wonderful experience for our occasion! We would love...
Read moreAs a Navy veteran who’s had the chance to enjoy Indian cuisine from various parts of the world, I’ve developed a strong appreciation for authentic flavors—and Turmeric Indian Cuisine did not disappoint.
While out running errands, my family and I made a spontaneous stop for lunch just before the Manhattan intersection, near Best Buy. We ordered the Lamb Korma ($18.99), Chicken Tikka Masala ($17.99), two orders of Garlic Naan ($4.00 each), and a Mango Lassi ($5.00). The food was flavorful, well-prepared, and presented with care.
I asked for the Lamb Korma to be made extra spicy, and while they accommodated my request, I personally could’ve handled even more heat—but that’s just my palate. The lamb was tender and cooked to perfection, paired with well-prepared rice. The Chicken Tikka Masala was a hit with my kids—they noticed a bit of a kick, but nearly polished off the whole dish. The Garlic Naan was exactly what you’d hope for: warm, fluffy, and rich with flavor. The Mango Lassi was a refreshing touch, it's a popular order they have them ready in the fridge.
As someone with food allergies, I was impressed by the attentiveness of the staff. They took the time to walk me through the menu and helped ensure everything I ordered was safe, which goes a long way in preventing any medical issues.
The decor was pleasant and inviting. They’ve recently renovated a private room with a stage—while it’s not in full use yet, it hints at some great potential for future events or gatherings. The bar area was also nicely done. While the liquor selection wasn’t extensive, they carried all the essentials for a proper drink.
All in all, Turmeric offers a wonderful dining experience. There are still several Indian restaurants in the area I plan to try, but I’m glad we gave this one a shot. If you’re in the neighborhood, I highly recommend giving Turmeric a try—you won’t be...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Tumeric and was blown away by the authentic flavors and exceptional service. From start to finish, my experience at this restaurant was nothing short of amazing.
The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The decor was tasteful and elegant, with beautiful artwork adorning the walls and soft lighting creating a cozy ambiance. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that every detail was taken care of throughout my meal.
But the real star of the show was the food. As someone who loves Indian cuisine, I can confidently say that this restaurant served some of the best I've ever had. The Gobi Manchurian was crispy, spicy and tangy, cooked to perfection, and served with a refreshing mint chutney.
For my main course, I opted for the goat biryani, which was a beautiful blend of aromatic spices, tender chunks of meat, and perfectly cooked basmati rice. Each bite was a flavor explosion, and the generous serving was more than enough to satisfy my appetite.
To wash it all down, I enjoyed a delicious and refreshing mango lassi. It was thick, creamy and had just the right amount of sweetness to balance out the spices of the meal.
But what really impressed me was the attention to detail in the presentation of each dish. Every plate was artfully arranged with vibrant colors and beautiful garnishes, making for a feast for the eyes as well as the palate.
Overall, I cannot recommend this Indian restaurant highly enough. The authentic flavors, impeccable service, and beautiful ambiance make it a must-visit for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience in...
