I was looking for some electronics for my RC truck. I needed a specific radio receiver to work with my radio/controller. I was told that the brand I wanted wasn’t available or manufactured any longer. I was then shown a new radio/receiver I could by in store that would cost me way more than what I was looking for. I also needed a speed controller and was shown one that cost more than the one I had in mind and had a different plug for the battery. I was told that the style plug I use was not used any longer and everything is using the style connector they had in store. I mentioned that my batteries didn’t have that connector so I was then shown the proper connector to swap out on my batteries which I really didn’t want to do. I’m so glad I didn’t make a purchase. I walked outside and looked online and found everything I wanted/needed including a motor for much less than I would’ve spent for items I didn’t want. Small town mom and pop toy shop which carries all the toys of yesteryear that are hard to find but also very new and cool model kits/legos/toy sets you can't find at big name toy sections in stores.

I found stuff here I didn't even know they still had but Lee's carries it. While it may carry a sense of older brick and mortar, for any collector or just someone looking for a gift for just about anyone in your family, this place has it.

They have areas for models, toy cars, science, RC racing, legos, puzzles (and really gorgeous puzzle pictures at that), small snap toys, outdoor toys, rockets...for a place that seems small it carries a heavy punch.

I was really impressed with all the hobbies the sell here. Since everything from model trains to remote control airplanes two Aunt farms and mini potato guns etc etc !. I witnessed and received personalized customer service and really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere . Lee's Toys and Hobbys is it's a very rare breed of stores that we as customers must keep alive. I was there for a very brief time and I saw I thought a half dozen customers come in and out and for hobby store to have that many customers for me says it all.
