If you are used to the Connecticut attitude of entitlement you might be fine with this shop. They were the RUDEST Taylor's shop/sewing shop that I have EVER used. All my husband needed was a patch sewn on his uniform same day (random uniform inspection after he had just ranked up) and they gave us so much unnecessary attitude for it. If I had a machine I could easily do it myself. Then I asked if they accepted credit cards, they said yes. When they returned with my card she said next time all military work will need to be payed for in cash! Like ok.... thanks you could have said you wanted cash first. They will not receive any further business from us, and I suggest everyone else to find somewhere...
Read moreI am absolutely amazed at how wonderful That's Sew Debbie!" is ! My sister and I just started taking classes! We love it! The teacher Sandy was ever so patient with us. It has been 40 years ancestors we have sewn! The class has amazing set up with modern technologies and outlets, ironically board area that is spacious and well thought out. Beautiful quilt work everywhere. Just delightful. And the other women taking classes with us are kind and cheerful . We are so excited that they offer Ewing lessons, quilting and provide a store to choose lovely...
Read moreThis is a store specializing in quilts and quilts only. Stopped in to inquire about garment fabrics but was told "No, we're a quilt shop." The woman I spoke to was quite standoffish about that. Any further attempts at conversation were met with "No, we're a quilt shop." The shopkeeper may be neurodivergent/ASD, which would explain the flatness and the inability to engage with others.
Despite this unsavory interaction, this shop appeared to be in working order, stocked, staffed, and patronized by some lovely women who were much more well-socialized...
