Delmar Plaza — Local services in Gulfport

My daughter and I visited the American Thrift Store while passing through during a trip to Biloxi. We’ve never seen one before. I was so impressed at the inventory, the quality and name brands that I found there. Not to mention the great prices. However, I was very disappointed to learn that they do not have dressing rooms. If you want to purchase clothes, they give you 30 days to return. They will not give refunds but will issue store credit which is ridiculous… I had close to 250.00 worth of clothes in my cart that I put back. I can not and will not buy clothes without trying them on and I couldn’t drive 3.5 hours to return them for “ store credit” to purchase more items that I wouldn’t be able to try on. They do have housewares and such but there’s no guarantee that you would find something you needed or wanted. I will probably visit again if I’m in the area and if I want to purchase clothing I guess I’ll just go to a service station and try them on before leaving the city. The Food Giant had great prices on the items I purchased. The Chinese buffet had great food for a great price and a nice selection of items. I stopped at the K-mart on a few occassions and was surprised at the friendliness and helpful employees I ran into. On my first visit, a cashier named Muriel, went out of her way in bagging my delicate items, to keep them from breaking on the way home. Went to Aaron's. Didn't have to put but thirty dollars or less down on a fifty inch flat screen n it got delivered 65 hrs earlier than quoted, n then promised, because our very dim screen on our current one finally went to black n that happened Tuesday morning they were here by end of their workday. We called, told them what happened, n they squeezed us into their shift after a minor rearrangement by another customer. Kinda felt very humbled, grateful, n appreciated n we had only had to pay them $26 w/change so it ain't exactly existing...
