Long story short: prices are good, but sometimes you get what you pay for and this has been a nightmare. The worst customer service I've ever experienced.
I ordered an entertainment center from Adora including delivery and assembly. My delivery was scheduled for a Tuesday and after waiting two hours I finally called the store to find out they planned to come on Thursday instead. Simple mistake, not a problem, and they were able to reschedule for Wednesday.
On Wednesday they send over the boxes of my items within the window of time I was told. The assembly started at 2:30PM and ended AFTER 7:30PM. Before signing off on the delivery and assembly I see that two of the shelves were attached backwards - after 5+ hours assembling. The assembler then suggests maybe I get a dark paper or something to cover the shelves that were backwards. Not what I paid for. I did not sign off on the delivery and was told another person would come back the next day to take a look at it.
I look at the piece some more and I then see three other shelves installed upside down, the washers were not attached to the screws for the knobs and every single screw was stripped. Several of the knobs were hanging off the drawers, there were scratches left inside the drawers and on the surface of the piece.
After seeing the amount of damage and improper installation I called the store to cancel further assembly as I would much prefer to use a trusted professional at this point. I wasn't even offered any sort of compensation for the over 7 hours (and counting) lost on this mess and I was only offered a refund on assembly after I asked for it. Definitely not enough for all of the damage that was done and time that was lost. (refund has yet to be applied)
If you are willing to attempt to order from this store I would highly recommend NOT allowing them to assemble anything you purchase. After speaking to the manager of the store again he said they would send the professional over to fix it. Why was the professional not sent over in the first place to avoid this mess?
I called him again to mention that since the top shelf was installed backwards it now has nail holes in the front and I would need a new shelf and replacements for the nails that were stripped. He says that the pieces were in the truck, but he had to track down the guy. He never called back, we call again and he says it will take a week then switches back to the story that the pieces were on the truck.
Phone calls and e-mails weren't returned and I wasn't even offered compensation. Really? Forgot my delivery, scratches on the piece, assembled incorrectly.....and I'm supposed to just eat the cost for all of this? I have had to initiate ALL contact. Any time I called from my home phone they would put me on hold, but then I would call at the same time from my cell and someone always answered. Suspicious.
The manager asks on Thursday that I e-mail him photos and a video of the damage again, which I immediately did. He responded that night saying he would get back to me in a timely manner. I call him at 1:30PM Friday having not heard from him and he says the guy is doing a delivery and on his way back so he will send him to my apartment. I call again at 3:00 to see if he could give me an idea of what time the guy is coming, but Talip is out to lunch. No return call. Left waiting around again. I leave a message at 4:00, no return call. I call at 4:30 and no one answers. I call 30 seconds later from a different number and they answer. Turns out the guy was allegedly stuck in an elevator, but will be over in 15 minutes. No one could call to let me know not to wait around? I've been waiting for two hours now and no on has come and they conveniently aren't answering their phones.
This business is a fraud. Stay away.
If they actually provide proper service and respond and resolve this issue then I will update my review, but right now I can't say a single good word about this...

After waiting for four hours on a Thursday, the Sanford and Sons delivery van finally pulled into my driveway to deliver my brand new sectional and kitchen chairs. Two delivery men, an older gentleman (65) and a younger male (25) with an awful attitude removed my unprotected furniture from this tiny van that was clearly undersized for such a large delivery. As expected, the sectional was covered in damage. Rips, scratches and tears all over. At first they denied the damage but upon calling their supervisor and my salesman I was told they would replace the unit. I understand that accidents happen, but the utter negligence and lack of professionalism were completely unacceptable. Two strikes.
My experience continued to worsen. Before the units were delivered, I was told that assembly of the kitchen chairs and the relocating of my current sofa to my basement were part of the deal. When I approached the delivery guys about these arrangements I was met with grunts of disgust and horrible attitudes as if I was inconveniencing them. Again, a call went into their supervisor and salesman who explained that it was part of the deal. At this point, I didn't even want the furniture and requested they just take it back and refund me my money. I was told that I would receive a call from the GM of the store that night. Thursday night came and went, no call. Friday I received a call from a manager of a DIFFERENT location who explained that I had to accept a replacement unit or it would cost me $250 for a return fee, neither of which were acceptable options. I have since attempted to contact the GM of the Lodi location, Mike, numerous times after with no avail. I keep getting the run around about his schedule and availability.
Five days later and still no resolution. I'm stuck with a damaged sectional that I do not want and can not get my money back. This has been hands down the worst experience I have ever had with any retailer of any product. They have done nothing but cause grief and aggravation for me from the start and have don't nothing to rectify the situation. I plan to contact the better business bureau as well as my attorney to discuss...
Read moreIt's been a complete nightmare dealing with this place. The initial purchase was quick and easy. I went into the location with the item I knew I wanted. I was in and out in 30 minutes. I was informed It would take 1 week to deliver. No problem!!! I called 1 week later to follow up, no answer. I finally get through about 3 days later and he made a spot for me the following day between 11-1pm. Great! The following day comes and I waited around until 330pm! It never showed up! I called the store multiple times with no answer! I finally got through once and he gave me the number to the warehouse. When I called the warehouse, they answered one time and said to call back in 10 mins. I called back in 30 minutes and multiple times after and they never answered again! The table finally showed up at 630 pm! 5.5 hours after it was supposed to. When they delivered it, the chairs were all put together poorly and they were all wobbling. They ended up take one of the chairs because it was so poorly put together. It's now been 1.5 weeks since it was delivered and I followed up to see if they got a new chair. First when I called the warehouse they answered the first time and said to call back in 10 minutes... when I did they never answered again. Finally after calling 3 different numbers multiple times a nice man answered from who knows where because I called so many numbers and said he would place an order for the chair.finally an answer! Granted I'm upset it hasn't been done already but at least I got an answer. I have been getting answering machines for the past 3 weeks. I placed my order on 11/27 and it's now 12/21. Time is money and they have wasted so much of my time I will never spend my money there again! Don't let them waste your time, go to a big name place. At least someone will answer the phone and give you answers when you need and good customer service!...
