A half star if there was one. Terrible customer service, poor workmanship and RUDE. I was told they were doing ME a favor by trying to fix my earrings. Wait, aren't you supposed to appreciate business coming in? NO they're doing ME a favor? that's not a good start. After one month of having my earrings there to put a stud on the back (remove the old screw type fastener), I call and OH yes they are done. can't you call me? I go in and they are totally screwed up.The stud was placed on the top not the center of the earring where anyone with half a brain could figure out where to put the stud. I leave them for another 4 weeks (one MONTH), call again. Oh yes, they are done. What? can't you call me? how much? $55 to put on a stud backing!!! what? are you crazy? Should be half that amount if that. Plus the rudeness of the guy who waits on you AND the fact they screwed them up and the fact it took 8 weeks to put a stud on the back of a pair of earrings. I hope this review will help others from ever going there and getting totally screwed. What a terrible establishment. By the way, I've had two gold chains purchased for me over the years from them and they both broke almost immediately. For what they charged for the gold chains, the quality is inferior. I replaced 2 watch batteries but I couldn't get the backs, back on. I went to Lampone's and they put them back on in 2 minutes. It cost $20! I asked nicely, "$20 even without buying new batteries from you". She said it cost $20 whether we put in new batteries or not. Do you want me to take them back off?" I think it's fair they charge me something for their time & machine. But $20 for 2 minutes seems an unfair rate/ policy. I was very happy after leaving Lampone Jewelers. My wedding ring broke in half where it was soldered together. The Jewelry store that we had purchased at, just went out of business. I thought i'd try this local jewelry store, I went in and explained what happened. The gentleman said, that is an easy fix, and we would have it ready in a couple of days. I was so impressed with the service. When I got my ring back, it looked like it was brand new. I would also like to mention, the customer service there was amazing.
