Strawflower Village — Local services in Half Moon Bay

I have shopped at this mall for 14 years -- groceries, pharmacy, dry cleaning, coffee, etc. But the new Discount Cigarette store is introducing a new element that I don't want to be exposed to. It's disgusting that the landlord has allowed a business that sells cigarettes and drug paraphernalia to move in next door to an established yogurt shop that draws local children. I'm taking my business across the highway. Shame on you, Strawflower Village.

Vaporizers and Glass Pipes that stand 5 feet tall are other commodities you can find here at Discount Cigarettes. So, the bottom line is that we have what you need for anything smoke related. and we have a large selection of premium cigars, cigar accessories, discount cigarettes, specialty cigarettes, hookahs, gifts, and much more!"...

Half Moon Bay is an AMAZING place. Within a few miles lies more people than the states of Washington and Wyoming combined, yet Half Moon Bay still manages to feel remote and isolated. Strawflower Village is a respite from the isolation, and makes HMB livable. From the 24 hour Safeway to the reassuring environment of the Hallmark store, Strawflower Village is guaranteed to make the harsh, remote feeling of HMB transition into the comforting arms of suburbia. This might sound like a backhanded compliment, but I assure you, a few weeks of living in HMB will assure you that Strawflower Village is as essential as modern plumbing or cable TV. Strawflower village is a metaphor for modern life; essential, constant, dependable, and insidious. You might move to HMB with self-promised vows to stay on the Main Street artisan shops, but I promise you, you will end up in Strawflower Village for your Almond Breeze Almond Milk fix, and Jim Shore Christmas ornaments. A small, dismal, shopping center with problematic traffic control. It is placed at the end oh Highway 92, displacing what used to be farm fields and a view of the ocean with a view of the backside of Roundtable Pizza. Other than Sunshine Donuts and a Thai restaurant, the rest of this dismal strip mall is filled with ramshackle versions of chain stores and a discount cigarettes place. The anchor is a cramped and tatty Safeway with s mediocre product selection.
