Southside Bowl MD — Local services in Halfway

Worst place ever for a child's birthday party! They do nothing that they say they will do and on top of it, we waited 50 minutes for a hotdog and fries!!! Do not waste your money or time. They convinced us to rent the party room for extra money which we asked if the bowling would be out in front of and we were told yes, they use the last few lanes then when we get there they put the bowling lanes at the opposite end plus as soon as the kids started bowling they brought out the pizzas so they had to stop so they could go ahead and eat, have the party fast and go back to bowling. They didn't get to finish their games and no assistance from anyone with anything but they made sure to tell you no refunds! Even if it had snowed and they were closed they would reschedule the party. We even asked if we could set up tables behind our lanes and were told we could only have 1 table but there was another parry that did what we asked to be able to do with 2 tables. Worst...

Southside Bowl was a treat.

We had my belated birthday party there on 3/3/2024.

Southside offers bother tenpin AND duckpin lanes, so it's great for the whole family.

Even better the 10 and duck pin lanes are on separate levels, so the kids can enjoy duckpin, while the grown-ups can play 10pin.

Theres also a small arcade with lots of fun games.

The snack bar has a nice mix of offerings from Pizza, burgers and chicken, to fries, onion rings, and more. Draft beer and hard cider on tap, and many canned adult beverages are available.

Soft drink options are Pepsi products (yea Starry!), and the prices on everything are VERY reasonable.

Staff is friendly and welcoming, and I recommend a stop of you are looking for a nice way to spend some time look into a stop at...

On the phone and during party booking, staff was kind and helpful. Was told all plates, napkins, forks etc were included. Bring NOTHING but cake. Couldn’t even bring a donut for a child who doesn’t like cake. Staff was not very friendly party day. Everything seemed like an inconvenience. Had to ask for forks and drinks came staggered so I had to purchase extra to get each kid a drink at the same time. One of the younger kids hit a gutter ball and it got stuck and they were so annoyed to come fish it out. They kicked us out before party time was over whereas the party before us ran a good 15 min over. Trash cans were over full before our party started. Couldn’t get a box to take home a few slices of pizza we paid for . Would not recommend and would never do a party...
