Tacos Carlitos — Restaurant in Maryland

2-Atmosphere- was just food court in Hagerstown, MD Valley Mall. But it clean tables, chairs & floors and this was at closing time, 8pm. 3 for Service bc I cldnt get thru on the phone to preorder and was to leave a message, returned call an 1 1/2 hr later. The phone line was for catering calls! 2 websites had different closing hours 830&900 & wrong phone #’s. We wld have missed dinner, they closed at 8 bc the Mall closed at 8!! Glad I called earlier in the day as I was planning theatre times afterwards. Only a 3 for food bc Birria Pizza (most expensive item 25.99) is now 2 whole inches smaller and 1/2” thinner; as well as thinner crust… definitely less beef but w/great cheese pull but didn’t want cheese for my supper, I wanted that terrific tender BEEF!!! 5 stars for the taste! As well as the Carne Asada and Raspberry Mango Daiquiri & The Desserts!!! Chocolate (cake) Flan oh my my my!! And Tiramisu…Yass! I was very upset with the woman who I’m guessing is Upper management or owner the way she spoke to her employees; very nasty and condescending. The young man I spoke with on the phone and then waited on us later cldnt have been any more pleasant! On the phone you cld hear & feel the smiles, warmth & Happiness to Serve! Answering ?’, offering info & descriptions & suggestions w/happy eagerness. And apologies for missed call, wrong website info & inconvenience for early closing but offered to still take orders during clean up/closing. And He Did! I seen him waiting on people as we sat and thoroughly enjoyed our/“My” Birthday meal…!!! Give that young man a raise! A Bonus for Employee of The Year! Especially for putting up with that woman! Armando did absolutely amazing at catering my wedding. I didn't even notice them set up or take down, they didn't need much directions and did exactly as what was needed. I had guests telling me during and after the wedding how much they enjoyed the food - and the fact they wiped the Taco Bar completely out is definitely proof of it. Their set up was so nice too! I especially appreciate that Armando personally made me and my husband a plate of food as we didn't get food before the guests and were completely swamped. I got to at least eat a little bit as the night went on! Thank you again so much, and if we ever need catering again, we'll definitely be back. And of course, we love coming to the Hagerstown location for the giant taco and their empanadas!! Really everything they make is delicious - which is why it was a no brainer to have...

This place was an awful experience, worst customer service, food was bad and it was way to expensive. I ordered a torta with milanesa, and I got pretty much a vegetarian one, cause meat was only about half way of the bread with lots and lots of lettuce instead, no chance to even say anything about it to the lady in charge cause she simply chose to ignore me. My son's quesadilla wasn't even hot, cheese was still in chunks. Takes to long to order, way to long for them to "prepare" the food, they have no system to call orders, they simply yell torta or taco and customers have to gather together to try and figure out who's order it is.
