Valley Mall in Hagerstown is one of the only malls in the tri-state area that doesn't seem like it is on its way out, of business that is. The inside of the mall seems to maintain a number of useful stores. The outside area around the mall has been growing for a number of years with new stores and restaurants popping up all the time. With my family living in PA it is only about 15 minutes for us to get to Hagerstown so nice and close too. I also have family that lives in Frederick MD as well which is only about 30 minutes from Hagerstown. That being said it is a nice central meeting spot for us to get together and enjoy one of the many restaurants in the area and walk around the mall. The mall is also well maintained, clean and has several visible security officers that I could see on duty at any given time. From what I understand online shopping and now COVID ofcourse has really been effecting malls and other public shopping areas to the point that many have gone out of business or atleast really gone down hill so it is nice to see atleast some thriving. My family included definitely don't go out as much as we used to but it is nice to have somewhere to...

Mall is kept neat and tidy. Parking lots in good order, although can get a bit confusing on where to park/go.
The mall during this pandemic is disgraceful though. Tons of people inside, no social distancing, no one enforcing mask orders except for individual stores. Some stores making people wait in a line outside (which I understand), but those in line are not even close to 6 feet apart. Kind of defeats the purpose.
One of the kiosks had a woman who ran over to us, mask pulled down off of her face, and got way too close and trying to get us to come over to the kiosk for a free sample of coffee. Even if it weren't a pandemic, the way she got in our faces like that would've been off-putting and rude. The mall needs to put a stop to that kind of behavior.
If you are trying to do your part during all of this, wear your mask, stay away from groups of people...then do NOT go to the Valley Mall! We only went because of one very specific, time-sensitive need. Then, we got out!
It's a good mall if you really do want to shop. But right now it's a virus...
Read moreLove going to Valley Mall. Love that they have a Mission BBQ, FYE, Victoria's Secret, even a vape kiosk, and so many other good stores to shop and splurge! It is a little tiny bit upscale with stores like H&M however, during the holidays its so beautifully decorated and makes me nostalgic to walk the mall. Like magic is in the air. So many people shop online now but I love physical act of getting dressed nice, going out, and enjoying a stroll down the mall. Love the slower pace in the off season when u can go get a pretzel and window shop...even if u don't buy anything! During Christmastime, the hustle and bustle of aunts, cousins, sisters, and dads finding that perfect gift. Plus the smells inside a mall from perfume, to food, to that secret spray that makes u want to buy everything in sight...like I said before it's magical. U don't get that experience online shopping. Valley Mall is good for walking for exercise too. I like it, and am about...
