DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse — Local services in Halfway

This used to be one of my favorite shoe stores but I don't shop here often anymore. I was able to find a pair of shoes and bag and some accessories here last minute for a funeral which was nice. I definitely will continue to shop here as long as they are around but one problem is that they do not carrynmany extended sizes ( womens 11 and 12) and I am an 11 or 12 in some shoes. In an age where you can quickly find extended sizes online I typically avoid the aggravation of not being able to find my size in store. Again though, if you have an event and you don't want to chance not receiving an online order in time or you don't want to pay expensive expedited shipping then DSW is a great option. They still carry some great brands and you can still find gems on the clearance rack if...

Large shoe store with multiple rows of options for everyone in the family. The occasionally offer deals to male shopping there more worthwhile, they also have a large clearance section where you can sometimes find a steal. 4 stars only because I've been in twice for a good pair of running shoes, and some cloga/loafers and while the stock has rotated both times I was in, I didn't find anything that seemed worthwhile for the price and quality. Now, they don't make the shoes obviously so if designers aren't putting out stuff I want that's not their fault. Heather was a very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff person and the price I paid for Easy Spirit sneakers, was $25 less than what I used to pay at the Easy Spirit outlet, when it used to be at Hagerstown Outlets. Had to order my size, but was delighted when it only took 4 days to arrive at the store. Heather even called me to let me know that the shoes came in early. The store is even dog friendly, and they allowed our little 4-pound Papillon to run thru the aisles, like a tiny speed demon. Lol.
