Disappointed Birthday Dinner at Wagyu House

I came to Wagyu House for their signature Wagyu Experience to celebrate my birthday, hoping for a memorable evening. Unfortunately, it was memorable for all the wrong reasons.

The evening started off promising the appetizers were excellent, and the pacing between courses was spot on. But things quickly unraveled. Our server disappeared for long stretches, leaving us without drinks or updates. At one point, I had to ask multiple staff members just to get a drink made. For a restaurant of this caliber, that level of service was shocking.

We were seated in the center of the restaurant, clearly visible, yet no one seemed concerned that we were sitting without food or beverages for an extended period. It was a soft opening, but it felt more like a private gathering for family and friends than a professional launch.

When the main steaks finally arrived, I was stunned. The prime steak was beyond well done it was grey. Instead of resetting the plate, they simply brought out the a replacement for the overcooked steak. I’d expect that from a casual chain, not a place positioning itself as a premium dining experience. Even more disappointing was the lack of acknowledgment or apology from the kitchen or staff.

The sides came out long after the steaks, which disrupted the flow of the meal. Dessert was oddly presented and underwhelming not something I’d recommend.

Overall, I left feeling let down. I truly hope the restaurant takes this feedback to heart and improves, because the concept has potential. But based on this experience, I wouldn’t return or...

This is the best steakhouse in Aventura area! If you’re a fan of Wagyu steaks and premium food, you can’t miss out on this restaurant.

The venue is upscale and offers a cool ambiance that is classy. There is also an outdoor patio with seating, so this could be a perfect place to host events.

We tried a few items on the menu and everything was delicious. The Wagyu steaks melt in your mouth and the fries are crispy and salted to perfection.

It was fun for the family as they torched one of the appetizers at the table and literally served a dish on mini BBQ grills.

Full bar and drinks were strong too. 😎

There was one thing that surprised me… they actually have a boutique butcher shop section in the back! How convenient is that?

Now we can just swing by the deli to pick savory steaks on the way home and grill them on the BBQ.

Great food, gorgeous décor, and friendly, attentive staff. Me and my family were super impressed with how well-thought-out and delicious the menu items were.
