Famous boot — Local services in Hampton

I’m only giving a one star review because there’s no option for a negative star. I have never called a business before to try and spend my hard earned money to be treated so ill by such a rude human being before in my entire life. I called in looking to help my son locate a particular boot. He already located this boot somewhere else but not in his size. I called in at almost 11:00 on a Saturday and a man answered. He asked what he could help me with. After hearing what I was looking for he informed me he was not at work (what?) and that he doesn’t have these boots. He then stated that “YOU PEOPLE, NEED to STOP being so picky” and then proceeded to hang up on me as I was still speaking. How is this business still existing? I have never been treated so poorly in my entire life. I think they have lost sight of the fact that without your customers you fail to exist! I am horrified to say the least. The worst shoe experience ever. Upon walking into store and asking to purchase work boots, the first negative comment from the owner/attendant, "if the ask me for light weight the door is right there". No I want composite toe and something not too hot. Okay, owner/attendant provided two styles and manufacturers, after trying boots on, I asked where the boots were manufactured. Then it got weird, his response "your pants, your shirt, your shoes, the truck you drove are all not made in America. I responded "you can poke fun at it, I am just curious and would prefer to buy local manufactured boots", he then point to the door and said the door is right there. Perfect I left the boots on the counter and walked out. I would have bought the boots just looking for an honest answer. I definitely will never step foot in that store again and don't recommend that experience for anyone else. Plenty of other reputable shoe store for your shoe and boot...

I buy boots here when i need a product that I need to actually stand up to the elements. I buy from this store because I know the owner is knowledgeable, doesn’t try to screw around and sell me a product that is junk. Must be why he’s been in business for 20 or 30 years. I highly recommend the Kamik brand boots , i hope I spelled that right. You will replace the linings before replacing the boots ive got my second pair two years ago and the only reason I replaced them was giving them to my son.
