Ocean View Fishing Pier — Local services in Hampton

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to provide feedback on my recent visit to the Ocean View Fishing Pier with my family. I had high expectations for our dining experience, as we were celebrating my brother's birthday and were looking forward to enjoying some quality seafood and beverages.

Unfortunately, our experience did not meet our expectations, and I believe it is important to bring these issues to your attention. Upon our arrival, we were seated at our table, but we waited for approximately 20 minutes before a server came to assist us. Once we were able to place our drink orders, there was a significant delay in receiving our beverages.

The ordering process for our appetizers and main courses also encountered some challenges. While we ordered Tuna Bites, 1 pound of shrimp, steamed clams with garlic bread, a Jumbo shrimp dinner, a Crab cake dinner, and the recommended Fish and Chips, we received our appetizers and my Fish and Chips simultaneously. Unfortunately, the Fish and Chips were served cold, whereas the appetizers were warmer in comparison.

Furthermore, there were discrepancies in our orders. My daughter's garlic bread was missing, and my brother's request to substitute coleslaw with fries and to add mac and cheese was not fulfilled; instead, he received coleslaw and mac and cheese. Additionally, despite our request for hot sauce, it was never delivered to our table.

Regrettably, the overall dining experience left much to be desired. The limited presence of our waitress added to our dissatisfaction with the service. Despite these issues, we paid a total of $250 for our meal.

I must express my disappointment in choosing Ocean View Fishing Pier for this special occasion. In the future, I intend to explore alternative dining options such as Ocean Eddy's when seeking seafood dining by the water.

Customer that will not...

Don’t eat here. I went here today with a friend. We got to the bar area and after a wait the young waitress asked us what we wanted. There were at most 4 tables of one or two people and a couple at the bar. We asked if we could sit up topside. She said yes but could not guarantee that she would get right to us. I asked how long and she said 10 or 15 minutes. We went topside. In 10 or 15 minutes she came up. She proceeded to tell us she could only serve us water because the electronic system for ordering was down. I asked if the kitchen was operational and she said yes. I asked if the bar was on and she said yes but would not serve us drinks. I asked if she had a manual way of taking an order and she refused, I have never witnessed such incompetence. I will NEVER go back to that place and suggest you don’t either. My friend just had chemo and radiation and it was all she could do to walk that far. All she wanted was shrimp. If you can only take orders thru an automated system to serve your clients you need...

This place may look like nothing big or great is going on … but listen this place shocked me & my friend the food here is top notch I mean better then some of the five star restaurants I have been to every dish comes out hot!!!! I love everything about this place the ocean view the nice staff the awesome people who are also out there ,now I will say the birds do be trying to take over but for the most part they were harmless they just wanted to eat the napkins lol.. but I would recommend that the staff go out on the regular in wipe down the seating area from time to time cause bird poop and other thing be left behind… But don’t let that stop you…. GO EAT AND HAVE A DRINK OR TWO YOU...
