Ocean View Shopping Center — Local services in Norfolk

Ocean View shopping center is a great place to go it has a lot of different varieties of stores and restaurants they've got a McDonald's in the parking lot they have Burger King they also have Kentucky Fried Chicken / Taco Bell There Goes My Taco Bell they also have a few Chinese restaurants they have a Subway they have a place to get your hair done they also have I think it's LA Nails same as they have I think it's in southern Shopping Center so they've got a little bit of everything they have a sushi restaurant that just has not the world was strictly Sushi I think they have a T-Mobile if I'm not badly mistaken there and they have Rite Aid if you need to get your prescription filled they have a Domino's Pizza there they have a laundromat so it's pretty much variety accept we've lost our farm fresh our hometown Farm Fresh is probably going to be become a Kroger or it's going to become a Food Lion so I think everybody think I can say freely that everybody's going to miss Farm Fresh it was the oldest grocery store that we had around here Colonial store went out a long time ago so we kind of Miss we're going to miss Farm Fresh I'm just hoping that they put a good store in here because it's going to be the only grocery store that we have in the ocean view shopping center so do right by all the gang and Ocean View and give him a store that is going to be convenient it's going to be not expensive and it's going to have a big quality inside the store I just make sure that they have great management there that can make a breaker...

This is a unique shopping center! If you live on Ocean View, it's a staple, but do not be fooled by the "Harris Teeter", that is just a Farm Fresh in disguise and it never wanted to change. Yes that means delicious fried chicken and salad bar! But also Harris Teeter level prices. Don't be fooled. If you need a coffee fix, they do have a interal Starbucks, for those of you bitter bean juice drinkers out there.

If you are a tourist, skip "Harris Teeter" and come here to get your vacation needs at the Dollar General, which supplies everything from Japanese folding fans, to snorkels and flip flops in summer, and cheap snacks for the beach right across the street! Not to mention a Tacobell KFC?! AND BURGERKING?! (Best BurgerKing in Virginia and maybe the USA.) The staff is pleasant if you treat them kindly and they actually try, give them your money, tell em' Jam sent you.

Don't forget the Tabacco 4 Less, and multiple hair and beauty supply stores on either end, and the Hidden Treasures bait and tackle shop for your fishing needs above the McDonalds on the corner.

It's great to have a Harris Teeter in this location however it is super tiny! Lol!! I'm used to going to another HT in Va Beach and it's triple the size of this one. The first time I went into this one, the first thing I thought of is it kind of reminded me of the Bodegas in New York! Lol!😂 But it's all good, because at least there's SOME kind of grocery store in OV. 👍🏼

And I get that every city has its homeless population... Hey in these economic times, it happens. But maybe there needs to be a medically run shelter close to this area because there are SO many homeless folks that hang around this particular Harris Teeter and the shopping center. It can be a bit intimidating for some to want to shop here because of them hanging out asking for money or food. This is nothing against Harris Teeter, the shopping center, or even the homeless... I just wish there were more mental health and housing resources for this...
