At the initial visit, I filled out paperwork. Asked what I was there for- contacts and general eye exam/ check up. I got through the eye exam with the doctor ( OK experience with him) to be rushed to a small desk and told I could only select glasses.(I HAVE TWO INSURANCES btw, keep that in mind when it comes to options and fees) I explained that I would like contacts and that is why I was there and that's what I put down. They said I would have to reschedule and come in for a new exam. I did just that. I was charged a second office fee. Doctor tried one contact brand and wouldn't listen when I told him my preferred brand. Back out to the sales lady. She tells me my exam and contact fee for that visit would be $315 but that I could split it in half until contacts arrived. I paid half up front. I waited weeks and weeks. (Yes I should have checked in a bit sooner) only to be told that they were ordered and sent back because I didn't pick them up. I asked why I was never contacted when they arrived, to be told they had called and text me but could show no records. I had never been contacted. I was told I forfeited the half payment and if I wanted my contacts they would have to place a new order and I would have to pay the $300+ fee again. I explained that I couldn't afford that and was told that they could speak to the supervisor on Monday as I was hoping due to the lack of communication and error we could get these re ordered without losing out on that money. Monday came and never heard anything. Contacted them had to leave a message. Heard back later that afternoon by a very rude woman telling me that re ordered them (after I asked to wait to speak to the supervisor). I explained I was not willing to pay the full fee again / forfeit my payment and that I had asked to please wait on ordering them until I could speak to the supervisor. When I asked again to speak to said manager, the girl was very RUDE and said she could give me they $75 visit fee as a refund, but would not let me speak to said supervisor after asking 2-3 times. I HAVE STILL NOT BEEN REFUNDED ANYTHING. The absolute worst experience. Haven't had an eye exam in about 5 years. Wanted to try IEC....
Read moreMy daughter and myself both had eye exams. Purchased a year's worth of contacts each and she decided to replace the old lenses in her glasses because it was closing time and she had no time to find another pair. We were told due to living over an hour away our contacts and her glasses were going to be shipped. We both have received our contacts and have received email and texts stating her glasses were ready for pick up. Between the two of us we have called and left half a dozen voice mails. I have sent two messages via web and I have emailed requesting someone to contact us and still no reply. We loved the doctor but after spending over $800 and no reply.....my child being without her glasses she desperately needs. I have no choice but to miss a day of work and drive 2 hours next week to resolve this issue in person?!
SINCE I CAN NOT REPLY TO YOUR RESPONSE. I JUST SENT EMAIL NUMBER 7 TO THE SAME ADDRESS YOU SUGGESTED WITH ONCE AGAIN OUR FULL CONTACT INFORMATION. THE SAME CONTACT INFORMATION THAT HAS BEEN SENT THE OTHER 6 TIMES AND THE EXACT SAME CONTACT INFORMATION THAT WAS LEFT ON ALL 6 VOICEMAILS THAT WAS LEFT AND UNRETURNED....NAMES DATE OF BIRTHS COMPLETE ADDRESS AND TELEPHONE NUMBER. HOW MANY MORE EMAILS AND CALLS NEED TO BE SUPPLIED WITH THE SAME INFORMATION....NOT TO MENTION ALL THAT SAME INFORMATION IS IN OUR CHARTS IS IT NOT??? AT THIS POINT MY DAUGHTER'S GLASSES HAVE BASICALLY BEEN STOLEN ALONG WITH MY MONEY FOR NEW LENSES IT SEEMS. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND...
Read moreHad an appointment scheduled weeks in advance. Confirmed via text message only to arrive and be told the appointment was cancelled because I didn't confirm via phone call (they left a message and I didn't call back) assuming the text confirmation would be enough. The secretary told me there was no appointment scheduled under my daughter's name and on closer inspection told me there had been but it had been cancelled. She then proceeded to tell me my daughter had previously seen the other eye doctor at that particular facility so we should have scheduled an appointment with him anyway. I informed her that my daughter was in foster care and I had never brought her to this location before so if a previous foster parent had brought her, how in the world would I know that? If it matters enough to IEC to make sure kids see the same provider every time, they need to be more diligent about looking in to records beforehand. I also very much resented the fact that I had to announce to her and other literal strangers that my teen daughter is a foster child. My child didn't deserve that. Furthermore, we drove 40 miles to get to our appointment. If IEC can email me, text me and call me to confirm every appointment, I sure wish they would also inform that my appointment with them was cancelled. We will be going...
