This might've been the best 3 or so hours I've ever spent in a store.
The one guy working there, Matt, was incredibly friendly and helpful. He greets everybody when they come through the door, and he was very nice and helpful when telling us about different parts of Warhammer, as well as recommending different stuff based on what me and my sister planned on buying.
I originally went there to buy an Infernus Marines paint set, but my sister came with me, and ended up wanting to buy the Tyranids paint set too. Well Matt then told us about the different starter sets, which had more models and stuff, for a better/discounted deal.
Additionally, we got a free painting lesson in which we learned some fun techniques, and got to keep the models we painted.
Looking around the store was tons of fun too, and near the end of our visit we ended up talking to some other people as well, all of whom were also very nice.
In the end, we ended up buying a box that had 38 models, and multiple tools, and we also ended up getting a paint and tools set, 3 extra paints, and primer.
In addition to this, we were given the free model of the month, the previously stated free models that we painted, several papers talking about different information and free things we can get, and a magazine each that talked about more free stuff we could get, and more Warhammer information.
We also got pictures in front of the life sized Space Marine statue at the front of the store, and Matt was able to turn it around to face us, and let me and my sister hold the Power Fist and Boltgun.
Just that and being able to look around the store was absolutely worth the 10 minute drive, and all the free stuff and stuff that we bought made it even better.
If I could go to this store every day I would.
It's really cool the amazing and friendly community Matt has built around this store, and I'm glad that I'll hopefully be able to be...
Read moreWriting my first Google review ever to commend Matt for my experience. I was in Illinois from California visiting family, and I’ve gotten into buying and painting models in the last few months. My two cousins kindly accompanied me so I could just browse (but let’s be honest, I walked away with another codex I didn’t already have). While I was chatting with customers to get a codex recommendation, Matt brought out some Stormcast models for my two cousins to build and paint.
For knowing nothing at all about Warhammer, the two of them absolutely loved the experience. Matt was attentive and gave us great tips - some that I’ll be taking home with me to finish my Dark Angels combat patrol! - and it turned into a beautiful, unexpected moment for the three of us to share an experience together. We now each have painted Stormcast models as a memento of this trip.
GW, you’ll probably never see this, and you probably don’t do commissions or bonuses, but for what it’s worth, Matt gave us fantastic service and I hope someone recognizes what a great employee you have in him. Matt, if you’re an Imperium guy, then may the light of the God-Emperor shine on & protect...
Read moreI was super concerned about the rating because I seen no reason this store should get a 1 star review. Then I read the reviews and they are so blatantly fake that i trust anyone who reads them knows that. I will say that this store is great in every way. I wasn't at all into warhammer as a hobby but the people there really convinced me. Matt, the guys who runs it is hands down one of the best people at customer service I've ever met. Not only does he remember you and take care of you while youre there, he is knowledgeable and so willing to help you out no matter what level you are at (helping a noob like me learn tricks to painting to settling rule disputes during games.) If you need a place to learn what the hobby is, play the game, or get help with your...
