Chinese Wok — Restaurant in Hanover Township

Been going here ever since we moved back to Elgin 17 years ago. I have been to just about every other Chinese place in the area and I still think Chinese Wok is the best. I will say their prices are slightly higher than others, but well worth it since the quality level is so much better. Found out a couple of years ago that the family commutes every day from China town in Chicago, so they bring many fresh ingredients with them from there. Have be you recently ordered from Chinese Wok? I am almost certain they have a new chef. A better chef! My favorites are the Egg Foo Young and fried rice. Any of their egg foo young or fried rice. We used to buy from them as a last resort but ever since the pandemic, we all noticed how so much better all their dishes taste now. I ordered food from Chinese Wok and ordered in person. It was about a 20-minute wait. I was not happy with the food. I ordered sweet and sour shrimp, and the shrimp was very small, with a ton of bredding in a round shape around it. They look like big onion rings. I got 1 bite of shrimp, and the rest was breading.
