Always get indigestion and heartburn from this location. Never happens to me at Taco Bell or other Cilantro locations, just this one. The steak burrito is always fried meat and maybe that just doesn’t sit right with me but I’m surprised to pay +$9 for a steak burrito and be bloated for hours yet I can load up on Taco Bell and be totally fine.
The employees at this cilantro location are just unfortunately really bland. I don’t want to say anything mean but honestly they make me lose my appetite before the food. The cashiers are always unfriendly and now they have this plexiglass in the way and they don’t even try to speak up louder. Just a bad experience and even worse service with increasingly higher prices for food that literally always gives me indigestion.
Why do I keep going back? Well Taco Bell is across the street and I keep thinking heck I want to support a independent business. Meanwhile the other taco places in the area are only Spanish speaking so I’m kind of stuck choosing between the two… it’s been years and despite covid pandemic they haven’t stepped up their service and especially the food. Why fry steak? Omg it’s just lazy and kills the meat… no wonder it’s the same cost to buy a ground beef burrito and a steak burrito here.
I literally just got Taco Bell and got enough food for my whole family for 12 bucks, meanwhile One burrito at Cilantro is $9.
I only wish their management cared but seems like they are left to run themselves (into the ground) by their own employees with no manager or leadership ever in sight.
Rip Cilantro, I’m 100% positive you will be out of business within a year at this rate.
Ps. They are literally always empty while Lil Caesars next door is always...
Read moreNot sure what happened to this place? At one time service/quality/price was bar none fantastic, key word is was. This past week decided to get a quick/affordable/tasty dinner and what a complete mess. We ordered 3 tacos and 1 burrito with a small drink, all yours for $28.07. Not the worst and not the best. I kid you not 28 mins later the food was ready. During the waiting time, could not help to see the staff roaming around looking for Waldo and the 2 cooks constantly going back and forth looking at the tickets, for what reason one may ask. Who really knows but more standing around and occasionally doing actual cooking (if you call what was given as something to eat). I never realized that meat was to be eaten on at the point when it was completely dry and supper crunchy. The very worst experience in years and location needs to consider putting manager on site at all times and if manager was on site, he or she needs to be put into new position, maybe door greater as was non existent and was not managing any of his or her staff.
For the portion sizes that was given should have been no more than $15. For the amount of actual meet that was in the tacos and burrito, I would recommend no...
Read moreOrdered food online after viewing their online menu. Online menu has veggie tacos, that say they come with onion and cilantro. No where does it say that tacos come with sour cream or cheese. I order online, and there's no veggie option, only plant-based meat. Also says they come with onion and cilantro; no sour cream or cheese listed. What I recieved was cheese, sour cream, shredded lettuce, a tomato slice, and some avocado on each taco. No onion or cilantro. No plant-based meat. I called, and was told I needed to "go off what the website listed, not uber eats", which I did. Both are incorrect. Overall, not worth spending almost $20 on 3 tacos that are mainly sour cream and shredded lettuce. Steak tacos were dry, rice is dry, beans tasted like canned refried beans. Elgin has so many better options for Mexican food....
