I asked for one inch off and the lady did four inches. I’m not confrontational so I acted like I liked it but it took ten years to grow out my hair and I’ll wanted was a dusting and the cut is so choppy. I have been crying for days
Edit: got a full refund after basically fighting for my life to get one. I had to beg and plead because I felt it was wrong - they originally only wanted to offer me a partial which at first my agreeable self just wanted anything because they originally told me I couldn’t have one because I didn’t complain that day. I had to explain sometimes people aren’t confrontational especially in front of the person who they thought was “nice” to them, that I was also in shock. In retrospect when I came in the girl doing my hair was rude to me until I was done with the conditioning treatment. Then she kept my back turned to the mirror the whole time and was really nice to me- the switch up makes me feel like she chopped my hair up on purpose. To this day my hair isn’t even and I hate looking in the mirror and I’m scarred from this event. When I got the refund the manager (who finally approved it) was there in store didn’t come out to even see my hair or come talk to me herself. She had someone else refund me really quick. I felt like they didn’t even care. Never again will I get a service done at an Ulta. I looked into even suing them because apparently you can sue for bad haircuts ladies if it’s negligence, and I would love to but with my refund it may be dicey for me but I did speak to a lawyer because my hair is a huge part if my life and work and it’s destroyed now. My hairstylist back at home (Michigan) was shocked to see what they did to me. Then to treat me the way they did on top of it and how badly I felt after even getting the refund… terrible. I could hear the manager laughing with other employees about who knows what while I’m trying to get a refund and that upset me. She should have stopped what she was doing and came over to me and talked to me herself. Unprofessional. Never again. But I’m never getting my haircut ever again, which it takes ALOT to get me to even get a trim because my hair grows so slow - to have this happen is still devastating and I still cry about it. Ulta should be the one buying me the 300 dollar extensions but of course they don’t care at all. These companies can butcher you and never have to see your hair again but it’s part of your literal identity and it speaks comes about a business how they treat their clients. This woman who butchered me spoke about how she’s opening a school for hair and she completely butchered a 1/4 inch trim - I think on purpose. These companies don’t have to live with the results so they will keep hiring bad stylists to fill seats and don’t care. All the Ulta in the area have bad reviews and that’s my fault for not seeing them because mine back at home was so good that I thought they all had the same standard… NOPE. Now I’m traumatized til this day. Cut up my Ulta credit card and...
Read moreThe first time this month I went to ulta today because of the days of beauty sale going on. I asked if they still had the free deluxe sample with a purchase and a employee at the end of the checkout counter said they did. There were three women at the checkout counter. I only saw two women on the floor helping customers. One at the benefit counter and one shade matching a customer. Another male employee I felt like purposely ignored me running around with a basket and a bad attitude. I understand that she was busy, but I was left to shade match myself. I was surprised to see there were no applicators or mirrors like in sephora. Because no one was willing to help me, I was swatching the back of my hand. The woman shade matching a customer said to the customer "don't worry I sanitize everything before using it because some people just do what they want and kids play in the products." She was looking at me. I requested someone's help and wasn't, in fact ignored. Irritated, I got the product I wanted and went to checkout. I believe a manager helped the customer in front of me and the male employee who ignored me checked me out. When I asked for the deluxe sample that came with my purchase didnt say anything. Then when i asked he said that they were all out. I was shocked. I was already upset with the service and then couldn't get the product I wanted with my purchase within a 20 min span of time.
I was like ok, maybe its just a bad day and i really wanted to go look at a product that wasnt at sephora. I went on a thursday afternoon this time. There was only 2 other customers when i was in there. One was getting her maleup done. I think the manager was walking around, i was finally acknowledged by someone. She asked if i needed help and i said i wasnt sure yet. When i finally made a decision i went to go grab a fenty beauty heat lip gloss in the color fu$$y. There was only one left and i thought oh good... but i saw the package was already opened so i opened it and its a good thing i did because someone stole it and replaced it with a tester. Then when I needed help EVERYONE WENT MISSING. The only employee i saw was the person doing the customer makeup. I literally tried chasing someone down, it was a ghost town. Salon was empty. Registers was empty. The products were DISGUSTING and STICKY. There was bugs on the floor. None of the testers had been replaced so you couldnt really test anything. I was so upset i put everything back and I left. I won't be coming back. If I choose to purchase from ulta, it'll be online. I was looking forward to going to ulta all week but now I just regret it. This is the worst, rudest, dirtiest ulta I have...
Read moreI booked a salon appointment for 2:15, the day before the stylist called and wanted to move me to 1:30 and I agreed… only to check in and wait until almost 2:15 anyway. I knew my hair was needing to be cut shorter than I was used to… postpartum does that to you. She just simply didn’t have time to listen to my concerns as they obviously took on more than they could handle. I should’ve walked out then. But she chopped my hair all the way up below my ears, haphazardly blow dried my curls till they were frizzed to the point of no return and sent me on my way. What online told me would be an hour or more for the curl treatments took 20 mins at a maximum because she didn’t do it, she had the audacity to tell me “you’ll see, you’ll love it”… I don’t. I have a toddler and now I have to spend extra time straightening my hair every morning which I made the commitment of no heat on my hair for 6 years now. I came in to feel better about how I look and now I don’t even want to leave the house. They offered to book another appointment to rectify the issue, but the hair is gone, there’s no rectifying the fact that all my hair is gone and I had no say in it… she treated me like just a number with little to no care, giggled while I cried from the shock as this is not what I asked for. I could never recommended this overpriced, bad quality to anyone. The cashier staff and the manager I spoke with are kind souls but the salon… they seriously...
