Market Heights — Local services in Harker Heights

This shopping center could be a lot better. It looks nice which is the best part about it. It’s a major shopping area for Harker Heights so it’s awesome it looks fairly new. There is a good deal of wasted space though, as there is around this town. It would be nice if more stores came in and if the parking was planned better. For example, Target has one of the worst parking lots I’ve ever seen which blows my mind. How did this happen? If you look at the Target in Georgetown where they had pretty big trees to work around they still have a better parking lot that works better. This needs to be changed. People almost get run over and crossing and parking is difficult! Yet when you go down by Bed Bath and Beyond, etc it’s totally different. The layout needs some work. This space could be improved to bring in not only more businesses but more shoppers. This city needs more of both to make it thrive. I wish these points would be considered already. Usually I like this Target but recently I was buying a piece of.furniture and the grown child who was helping load it in was being negative the whole time, he kept saying "no this isn't going to fit in that car, I don't know what your thinking..." Instead of saying something like "we will try to get it in the car and if it doesn't we will hold it till you can get a bigger vehicle". Then when we we're loading the fireplace up it got snagged on the seatbelt, and the employee just kept shoving the fireplace into it thinking it was going to move on it's own finally I had to tell him to stop so I could move the seatbelt. Had dinner at Cheddars. Noticed the menu had changed from our last visit 2 yrs ago. There were limited choices in certain areas of the menu (which was difficult to navigate - too many different items bunched up together). Had to wait at table for long periods of time between drinks and croissants before Entree was finally served. Our Server Vraj, was very attentive and accomodating during the interims making sure we were comfortable and keeping us updated. Vraj was also very professional while juggling several customers at once and keeping everyone informed. He is an asset to Cheddars. We do plan on returning to Cheddars if for nothing more than those awesome...
