I absolutely love Lowe’s Foods! 🛒 It was my go-to store when I lived in Jacksonville, NC, and it’s just as clean and pleasant as I remember. I’m eagerly looking forward to the daily food events they host. 🍽️ They have a beautifully set-up coffee corner. ☕ The store offers a wide variety of options in each aisle without being overwhelming. I’m particularly pleased with their extensive selection of gluten-free choices, showing they truly understand the growing health needs of the population. 🌱 I found the cornbread tops! From my fond memories, Lowe’s Foods always had the best bakery. 🥧 I recall buying their pies, and no matter the fruit pie I ordered, there were always plenty of fresh fruits within. However, I bought the strawberry rhubarb pie today and was a little bummed that there were no fruits! It was just the jam part, which felt like air and fruit sauce. 😕 Hopefully, management reads this and can either explain the lack of fruits in the pie or correct it. Also, will this store have the triple berry pie available? They had the muffins, but the pie is the real winner. 🥇 Anyway, I’m looking forward to more shopping excursions there. They just opened, so I understand they’ll have some corrections to make. A long-standing worry is parking. 🚗 Once the other stores and apartments open, will there be enough parking? Because right now, it doesn’t look like there will be. Overall, my experience at this location was delightful, and I can’t wait to see how they continue to improve! 🌟

The produce and bakery quality are subpar compared to HT and Publix. See the picture of Apple 2 days after purchase. Baguette bread was rock hard few days later. Unfriendly Cashiers !! I stopped by at around noon today 4/17 and after I was finished with the groceries there was only 1 checkout counter open and Veroniqa the casher was so unfriendly and rude. Made eye contact and No Hello, no how are you doing No Did you find everything you were looking for. Absolute stone cold silence and I had cart full of groceries. No "Did you check your eggs" No "Happy Easter/Nice weekend" at the end either. I understand these are min wag workers employed by corps giant like Lowes but how about some basic training in etiquette by the corporate team especially for a store in a nice neighborhood. I get the feeling I walked into a store in Central Avenue close to the hood looking at these cashiers and how they treated me. If I get this kind of rude and unfriendly treatment, why will I shop here ever again instead of the friendly service I get at Harris Teeter. Definitely need some attitude and personality training or different hiring practices by Lowes for sure

Went on opening day between 4pm-8pm and it was packed (expected). The address on Google as of right now is incorrect. Takes you into a manor in a residential area. The store itself is a little too tight... they need more space by the deli and eatery area for 2 or 3 carts. Maneuvering around is challenging, especially during peak hours. The sausage works area made me sad. As a Lowes Foods Loyalist for the last 7 years, I felt terrible ordering a sausage sandwich from the girl working on a 16x16 griddle. Other Lowes have decent grill space to manage large crowds but not here. Lowes really cut some corners for these workers. Fancy new store, lots of beer options in the beer den, I hope the parking gets better over time, but with all that retail space coming up and new apartments, I'm not optimistic.

Hot prepared food: good, but Publix does it better. Not as busy as Publix and they don’t try to limit what you can buy. Smoked Mac and Cheese is my favorite!

BBQ Items: good, but the ribs I bought I still had to heat them up for close to 4 hours at 225F. They were not done. Smoked bacon and turkey were good.

Bakery items: Cakes (not party cakes) are super expensive. A whole chocolate cake there is $9.99 and at Publix is $6.99. Publix and Walmart have better choices too. Their bages are great, no questions on those, pretty close to NYC ones. Breads are chewy, I mean, CHEWY! I even bought a fresh made Kaiser roll and when I ate my jaw muscles were hurting. For breads definitely stick with Lidl.

Sandwiches: big no no. Publix better. Again, chewy bread and very slow service.

Deli: very slow, not as slow as Publix, but Publix you can order ahead and skip their line and short staff issues.

Drinks: coffee is pretty good, smoothies are great, haven’t tried the beer yet. Service can be slow.

Meats: hit or miss. Bought some great quality low priced filet mignon but the sirloins were expensive and pretty chewy. Costco has far better quality. Bacon and sausages are really good! Ordering a sausage from the griddle takes 45 minutes. Skip it. It is a ridiculous amount of time.

Fresh pasta products: good quality, no complaints, good variety as well. Need to check the expiration date though, found a few expiring within a day or two.

And to finalize… the best part: the fresh...

I love this place and the last few times have been not so good I eat out a lot but this place is my favorite I cone here for lunch most days me I also come with my family and shop however I’ve had to call the store manager because at the food bar deli the young man was checking his phone and then serving food without washing hands and changing gloves however today we went to get a sub as well as some chicken the food was dried Wotan’s looked like truck stop food and the lady that was preparing to make my sub had on gloves and was doing other things around the area like touching other than food then when it was time to make my sandwich she laid my bread on the line without any paper which I’ve never been a fan of due to cleanliness when I asked her not to place the bread there she picked up the same bread and placed it on the paper then when I asked her to change the gloves she said girl you messed up I don’t have anymore gloves it offends me to be called girl number one and second how is it sanitary to use one pair of gloves on several different sandwiches and surfaces I really enjoy this place the one young lady nya is normally there and is absolutely about cleaning and food safety washing hands changing gloves one more chance is what I’m giving this will be the third strike and I will go back to Publix it’s too easy to get sick from lack of food safety...
