My mom is visiting from Florida. We are both originally from PA (she’s central, I’m south of Pittsburgh). We wanted to watch our first Steelers game in 4 years together. We researched & this was recommended.

Every TV was on the TNF game of TN @ PGH including the sound. We loved that! But people gave us looks when we were cheering for our boys in the black & yellow. I recognize that we’re in NC but I’ve seen more PA plates & Steelers stickers here than anything. Not the bar’s fault, just felt weird. Especially on a Thursday night game.

They have a wide variety of beer and cocktails. The food was decent. Our tab was $50 (she had sweet tea. I had a tall Yuengling & then an RBC Hell Yes Ma’am). Decent prices for bar “food”. I had the French dip and the au jus is their French onion soup. About 90% of it was old soggy croutons. Wasn’t stoked about that, but the broth had a decent flavor. Lived the melted cheese that came on top as well.

Mom ordered plain, fried bone in wings. They were breaded, which she didn’t entirely mind, but she wasn’t expecting it. Mom specifically asked if it eas just the skin fried or if they were breaded. Bartender told us “oh no! Just fried with skin on.” Mom said the bleu cheese tasted really old & it definitely wasn’t homemade. You pay for what you get, at the end of the day.

Service would have been 5* but it took 30 minutes after we had gotten a box, finished our drinks, and were clearly waiting to cash out. I’m extremely patient being a bartender myself, but it seemed a little excessive. They had 3 bartenders & there were maybe 15 people at the bar?

Overall, I’d give this place a second chance because no one is on their A game every single day. It’s definitely...

The first thing I'll say is the tar heels and crimson Tide. We're playing so the atmosphere was great. It stops there. I had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated while she sat And took a to-go order. Not sure why you wouldn't see people first. Why I just have to sit there and watch you and not just me. It was multiple people sitting there waiting for her to take a to-go order so we could be seated. So then I get seated and I absolutely get no service at all. I never got a water. I never got a high. My name is whatever I'll be your waitress. I can't even tell you who my waitress was because no one ever served me. I thought about going to the bar once a few people left thinking I would get better service but I decided against that due to the fact that I couldn't patronize an establishment that it already made me wait that long for any type of customer service. So I go to my car to doordash some food which I was trying to not do only to see the bartender coming outside to kiss her boyfriend. Bye and if you're so busy that I can't get service, I would assume you're too busy to walk your boyfriend out to tell him. Bye I could be wrong. I could be overstepping my boundaries. She might have been on break but it was after midnight. There were clearly having trouble serving between Uber eats and people inside the building so I can't imagine where she would have really had time to tell him bye and why she couldn't have just done it from across the bar. I must say first the awesome server and service provided by Anthony was absolutely fantastic but the initial experience was horrible! The pleasant hostess sat us and said enjoy your meal. Well not knowing the young beautiful African American lady that looked me in my eyes 3x was our waitress because she never said anything to us like “I will be with you momentarily”, she finally came after like 10mins and said exact words “what yall want to drink”? No Hi my name is or nothing so we kindly said our drinks and ordered a appetizer, well she returned with our drinks and i politely asked her did she put the appetizer in bc i would like to change it if possible she said 2x very rude like I was a child getting on her nerves “Change to what”? Attitude so nasty I said never mind. At this point I notified the hostess and asked was she working the entire section on that side bc we didn’t deserve her attitude and she said yes. Well here comes the lady again (IDK her name she never introduced herself) walking by again with an attitude sassy and in retaliation mode steady looking over at us and said Anthony will be your server now, again rude. You never know how someone day is going customer service is important so I said to my significant other let’s just go bc at this point it was too much.
