I used to be a huge fan of Aldi for their prices but the food quality has severely plummeted. I purchased a pork roast which was rancid as soon as I opened it for dinner that eveningā the sulfuric smell filled our home and was enough to make one vomit. I tried to call the store to speak to someone, but the new 1-855 non-local number says the company has unlisted all local store phone numbers as part of their new āsavings modelā. I sure hope the rest of the pork out for sale is safe, but I wonāt be buying from them again. Nor will I be returning the item to the store (as per their website) for their ātwice as nice guaranteeā because 1) the rancid meat was promptly thrown away and 2) I donāt trust their new business model with limited to no accountability / inability to report issues to someone by phone or in real time. This allows for so much oversight that will affect your consumers. If youāre relying on your busy customers to DRIVE back to their local Aldi to report a current food quality issue, then how can you guarantee quality on the shelves at all? This shouldnāt be allowed as a business practice for a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt's the only Aldi in Harrisonburg. They should have more than one Aldi in this city given the number of population that includes students from JMU and EMU. Students will always prefer cheaper price at Aldi. This Aldi's inventory management is not the best. We love shopping at Aldi and had visited several Aldis in several states. My wife and I both agree that Aldi at Star city in Morgantown, WV is a top class Aldi in management. Harrisonburg Aldi should learn from Morgantown Aldi. Why? 1. Motown Star city Aldis employees take their job seriously and manage the store better than Hburg does. 2. Motown Star city Aldi's checkout process is much better than Hburg. At Hburg during busy hours the checkout line is longer.
We want to see Hburg Aldi improve and extend their business in this city. Bring more Aldis here. If you don't mind buying store brands, you can definitely save some...

Usually it is not a real issue for me. However, if you have a child that you have appropriately restrained in the cart, it is difficult to undo buckle, transfer to other cart, etc. AND I have no idea of rather the cart has been cleaned, much less sanitized. I know the cart I had been using was not wiped down before the next person's groceries were loaded. I carried child out to vehicle while partner bagged groceries so issue resolved. But surely I'm not alone with this concern? What if I had been shopping alone? How do single parents...
