Elevation Sports — Attraction in Harrisonburg

My siblings, boyfriend, and I spent Thanksgiving in Massanutten and popped on over to Elevation Sports for some fun after researching things to do in the area and coming across the website, which looked super fun. We called to make our reservation through the phone, and both of the people who assisted us were helpful. We decided to go with 2 hours of knockerball and combat archery, which was enough time to tire us out and keep us engaged.

The first thing I will say is that the prices are extremely affordable and reasonable. I was surprised that I wasn't spending about $50+ per person.

As a heads up, the facility is located within the mall, which we could have figured out if we did a little more research, but we were under the impression that it was a facility of its own with an outdoor area. I will say that the website was a little bit misleading because all or nearly all of the images depict people outside. The actual space inside the mall is relatively small and at times it felt a little bit cramped, and we were not able to run around as much as I had envisioned.

I also wish that we were able to play soccer with the knocker balls, but that is dependent on the number of people you have and time. We ended up being paired with two small children which made it a little bit awkward to match our level of activity, but I also know that the employees have to make work with what they have.

With that said, I do feel like the staff does a great job with the accommodations they're given. We worked with Sean the whole time, and he was both nice and fun. I appreciated that he made sure that everyone had a good time, everyone felt included, safety precautions were followed, and that there was adequate time to play and rest. I know he had to get a little creative with the activities and grouping people and teams together.

Overall, we had a great time! There are times when it's easygoing but others where it's very competitive and fast-paced. You even get to try some "flips".

I would definitely recommend this for anyone active, really of any age too. Definitely a highlight...

Me and my fiancé were looking for a way to end our vacation with a bang, while searching for activities in the area “Elevation Sports” popped up! I quickly called and booked the party of 2 and we were on our way. Little did we know this would be such an amazing experience! Rachel greeted us as if we were friends or family even though this was our first time. After a quick briefing on safety and rules, we were off! Rolling, flipping and bumping all over the place! 2 grown ups out in the field falling and laughing like toddlers all over again! Tiffany & Shawn were great instructors and even joined in on the fun! My family and I had a great time doing Knockerball and having a Nerf battle. Eric was a great leader for us. My only critique is that there is so much instruction for Knockerball that you lose a lot of time actually playing Knockerball. Understanding that, for safety purposes, there needs to be a rundown of rules and expectations I think there is room for improvement to streamline that process leaving more time to enjoy the activity. Having a mandatory instructional video 15 minutes before the scheduled play time would be a good idea. Having a list of rules posted in the briefing area and throughout the play area would also help with getting to the action quicker.
