I’m not sure what is going on with this location. There’s all new people and they’re NOT helpful or friendly. I went in to see about possibly upgrading and adding my daughter a new line. No one was in the store. Finally a girl who said she was the manager (I use that term loosely), she said her name was Alexia came out and I told her I needed to go over my plan and possibly add a phone. She literally worked out the costs by hand on paper. They used to have a way that they did it and would print out so I could see the breakdown. I couldn’t understand any of the gibberish that she had come up with. When I asked for Nicole or Trish she rolled her eyes. When I said that I just wanted to keep it the same she said that the phone I wanted wasn’t in and suggested that I go to the athens or Anderson corporate store. That’s an hour away. I don’t know what happened in the last year but I’m not the only one who feels this way and against my better judgment I went anyway even after hearing about how downhill it’s went. I went to Anderson and saw Tiffany (a familiar face!). Not only did she upgrade my number but she got me set up on a business plan and I was able to save money by adding my granddaughter and grandson a new phone! Save yourself the hassle and stress and just go to Anderson! Most of the old staff are there except Jennifer and Nicole and they don’t try to pressure you and are very friendly! If anyone from AT&T actually reads this- you need to get better help for this store or just close it down completely. You would be wise to reach out to the old staff for pointers on how to treat customers. This is the worst I have ever...
Read moreI made my 5th trip to Hartwell GA AT&T store to clarify billing issues after trading in my IPhone 13 on a iPhone 16Pro on Oct 22, 2024. I was told that it might take 3 months for billing to reflect my trade in. I had tried unsuccessfully to get “overview of billing details” on my account online; that never opened up. Today, I met Marique Burriss, new manager of the store. He discovered I had been signed up for the wrong kind of account to get credit ($1000) for my trade in…and that no one (in 16 years) had asked me if I was an educator which would give me a 25% monthly discount. I was more than happy in the way I was treated and Marique was professional in completing the necessary changes in my account with a person from AT&T office. He even got the new monthly bill retroactive to the October billing date when the issues began. Marique is quiet spoken but business like in his persistence in resolving the issues on my account. It’s delightful to have an employee treat a customer like I was family. Now…share that training with others working at your store! Thank...
Read moreEditing previous review. AVOID this store at all costs! This store isn’t what it used to be. Asked the girl for Jackie M. She told me she was no longer there and offered to assist. All she tried to do was get me to add a new line- I kept saying no. I got my bill and a new line had been added! When I went back the guy there told me that Jackie was still working there and said he couldn’t do anything and I would have to call 611 to cancel a line that I didn’t add in the first place! I went to athens and they canceled the line and was able to credit my account.
Excellent customer service and they truly care about saving you money ! I went in because my phone was messing up and Jackie M asked how long it’s been since I had my plan looked at. I admitted it had been at least a year. She did a plan audit for me and cut my bill by $50 a month just from upgrading my phone and adding an extra line. Now I’ve got unlimited everything & double hotspot. Who knew you could have 2 numbers on one phone?! If you’re looking for excellent service go see the folks at AT&T...
