La Cabana — Restaurant in Hartwell

Ok.....La Cabana....I've been in Hartwell, GA. for almost a month now and I'm trying to get to all of the restaurants before I head to a new job site. This is a family owned chain restaurant. I've ate at one other in Cochran, GA. so I kinda expected it to be the same. I was right. Customer service was pretty good. Wasn't very busy so of course it should be. I ordered a simple rice and shredded steak plate with the cheese sauce. Taste was there. The seasoning was pretty good. Rice tasted good, better than average so that was nice. Cheers sauce had a little spice to it which was nice. Not the usual bland white cheese stuff you usually get. I want to give them 3 and a half stars but no way to add the half...lol. Overall, it was good. I'd come back but not for anything special. It's Mexican food, so I kinda have to be in the mood for it....lol. Could that cause some biased in my review? Maybe, but I wouldn't bet on it. As far as the building, yeah it could be updated a bit. You should change the flooring every 6 years. I know that costs money, buy you should prepare for changing appearance if you want to keep customers coming in. Otherwise, you turn into..... oh it's not Mexican restaurant, so nothing special. La Cabana in Hartwell is absolutely ridiculous!!!! Called in an order...lady was rushing me off the phone so I am guessing she really was not paying attention to me. Husband gets there to pick up the food and instead of Texas nachos there's Texas rice. Probably wouldn't have been a big deal IF the lady didn't argue with him and say that is what I ordered. I called back up there and she said that she KNEW I had ordered the nachos but the kitchen was so busy right now. The kitchen probably fixed what she wrote down. Completely ridiculous!! Never again. This was my son's birthday. I'm still in the restaurant and my whole party has eaten, the whole restaurant has eaten and my to go order has come out; however I have not received my actual meal to eat. They did bring me someone else's food that was literally boiling. After I waited for it to cook down I was going to take a bite and realized it had guacamole so it was taken back.
