Kim's Nail Salon — Local services in Hasbrouck Heights

This was my first time to Kim's Nail Salon, and they were all wonderful. I called first thing in the morning and had no trouble getting an appointment for same day to do a pedicure and SNS Powder Dip manicure. Kim was great on the phone, and I was immediately welcomed as if I had been going there for years. They didn't rush me to pick my color, and the pedicurist took her time and was very meticulous. I did the $35 spa pedicure which included an extra foot scrub, callous removals, and massage and it was well-worth the extra money. ($20 for a standard pedicure) This was only my second time doing a dip nail manicure, and Kim did that for me directly. She was so friendly and chatty, and answered my questions about the process. They truly look just like a regular paint job but have a thicker coating, last 2-3 weeks, and are supposed to be less damaging than gel. It was $40 for the dip manicure. I wish I can give a 0 star. Walking in they were very welcoming. However my experience was just horrible! I was overcharged for a very bad service. I wanted a specific full set! I asked the worker! Can you do it?! Cos she looked a little off when she saw the inspo. I asked twice she said she can proceeded to doing my nails which took almost 3 hours! Didn’t asked for the length I wanted, cut it to her desired length & when I told her it was too short she said “why you like long nails” whole time, I was just discouraged & wanted to leave! After asking her to just finalize cause I was getting more and more aggravated. I was charged very high amount and I voiced to the manager that I didn’t like my nails, not close to what I asked for. No apology whatsoever! She just proceeded to charging me & asking for tips. Very inconsiderate. She could have simply told me she doesn’t know how to do it & I would have left. Love love my nails, I’m originally from the Bronx and I am staying in Jersey for a couple of weeks and needed to have my nails done, my nieces coworker recommended Kim Nails. I am very particular on who touches my nails, so I took a chance.
