I had the privilege of having my very first appointment ever with Sarah. Due to 17 major surgeries since 2002, the medications I need to take and let's not forget about stress, I have lost the majority of my hair on top & the sides.

It has taken me well over a year to get the nerve to pick up the phone and make an appointment. In MY MIND, I already felt like such a freak due to physical changes and my hair loss just added to MY low self esteem. What a FOOL I WAS to not have called well over a year ago!!!😁

Sarah could not have been more patient, kind, encouraging, knowledgeable, and well.....just plain Phenomenal. She patiently took the time to explain any and every detail you could possibly think of & brought me almost every wigs in the store to try on(I'm a wee bit fussy, okay really fussy lol) it's a huge change to go from virtually very little hair, to a full head of beautiful soft hair. At no time did she ever try to "up sell" me.

I found that so refreshing as I know how expensive the products can be. I had gone in with the intention of buying a topper, but ended up with two wigs and ended up spending a lot less than what I had anticipated, big relief! Again, Sarah could have said the topper would have worked, but she was so beautifully sensitive in explaining why the clips would not work...I simply didn't have enough hair for them to hold onto on the sides & front.

I called my husband from the salon to come pick me up and I will never, ever in this lifetime forget the look on his face as his jaw dropped & he stood there speechless! When he finally did speak he said "WOW, I love it, your even more beautiful than before!" I am blessed he has loved me through all the physical & emotional changes these past 13+ yrs we've been together. (I managed to hold the tears back until I got into the car, so did he.🤗 He was so happy for me & just kept saying WOW, I love it! We went to see my dad & my brother happened to be there & I got the same reaction from both of them!

I apologize for how long this is. I wanted to include every little detail so that if there is another woman (or man), afraid to make that call, DON'T BE!! I promise you will not be sorry in investing in yourself. Thank you again for everything Sarah, it seems like a lifetime ago that I actually felt really good about myself & Hopefully after this next surgery my hair will continue to grow back in & I'll be there with bells on to get that topper, or a couple more wigs.....Ladies it's awesome to throw it on and go, no fuss, no muss! Just a quick brushing and your good to go.

P.s. Yep I'm still talking hahaha! I forgot to mention what an Awesome store they have. From the cute hats & tops, to mugs & coasters. I apologize for suddenly drawing a blank on all the othe incredibly cute gift items. Do yourself a favor & go check them out even if you don't need or want some type of hair replacement. I can almost guarantee you won't be leaving empty...

Losing your hair, no matter the reason, is devastating. While I hate the thinning/balding hair, I procrastinated that trip to the store to try on and purchase a wig - it just overwhelmed me.

Once I summoned the courage to open that door and start trying on wigs, I was very thankful that Joyce was there to assist me. She listened to me and my needs. Since I live with chronic headaches, she agreed that a topper might be the better option. She did not pressure me to get a certain kind or color. She encouraged me to walk around the store, look in different mirrors, and walk out the front door into the sunshine to see how it looked in the sun.

Another customer was also looking for a topper so the two of us did a little tag-team in the chair. We talked about what looked best, challenged each other, and gave advice. When one of us asked Joyce a question, the answer usually helped both of us. It was a very low key and relaxed environment, one that helped to alleviate my anxiety, but I also felt like I was treated honestly.

After trying on a few different colors and lengths and walking around with the one I “thought” I liked the best, I went back to a longer one in a little bit different color. I went through the process of looking in different mirrors and walking outside again. That was the one for me. Turns out that it was the first one Joyce showed me!

I am remiss in writing a review for Creative Hair Design. If they were available, I'd fill in 10 stars! My first wig was purchased over 3 years ago when a shoulder replacement became necessary. At that time my hair was thinning so much that I was forced to make a decision to look at wigs for two reasons. First of all, the quality, variety of styles and color or your wigs are endless. I never dreamed I would walk out of the store wearing my first wig after my first visit. Your professionalism, sensitivity, and service are exemplary. For all those reasons, I will never go any where else to replace my wigs. I often receive such nice compliments on my hair, and when I tell people I'm wearing a wig they are shocked. In fact last summer at a graduation open house, a woman surreptitiously took a picture of the back of my short hair style, because she liked it so much but was too shy to ask if she could have a picture of my beautiful haircut from the back. So, thank you to Sara and the entire staff at Creative Hair Design for all you do to make your patrons feel comfortable and so completely happy wearing their new hairstyles. Sincerely, Joan...
