Tony's Stationery — Local services in Hawthorne

This place is literally down the street from my job & I frequently shop here. Whether it be for drinks, cigarettes etc. Overall convenient when on a break & the owner is polite. Why today I go in to purchase a Gatorade & I see several gallons of whatever for sale. Knowing the current no water crisis in Paterson from the water break, I said let me grab 3 from here. When it comes time to pay I ask, “How much for each gallon of water sir?” He replied, $8… I then said, “I’m sorry, excuse me but can u repeat that for me?” He proceeded with $8 again. With a confused look, I responded with, “No thanks” & wlkd them back to the fridge where I got ‘em from. Price gauging in folk time of need is highway robbery, isn’t it? Absolutely absurd for a gallon of water. So tell me would u pay eight dollars for a gallon of water? In all honesty it’s about integrity or am I missing something.
