Clean store. I’m wondering though, if management is going to start listening to people. If I had put together an outfit yesterday when I was there I wouldn’t have had the money to pay for it... Shirt, skirt, boots.. $170.00. For ONE outfit. It’s about double the price that you will pay at Goodwill, (and Goodwill has become known for their inflated pricing over the last several years) Imagine trying to put together two or three outfits for a new job? Or two or three kids for back to school. This is NOT a thrift store. Anyone who is having a tough time, having to outfit their family with thrift store clothing… like I have had to in the past, won’t be able to afford these prices! They truly are marking everything up to what eBay has things priced at… (not what they actually sold for, which will a lot of times be much lower than the asking price) but that price also includes shipping a lot of the time. So you are also paying the equivalent of the eBay price plus shipping fees when you purchase some of these items. I saw ONE person in the reviews defending these prices, but I have a feeling this person has never had to thrift to cloth her family. I just saw that an employee responded to someone a few days ago. Hopefully they can explain their reasoning for how they are justifying these prices. I head that the other UGM stores were more in line with thrift store pricing… so it’s just someone in this particular store who is making...
Read moreLet me just say, I shop here all the time because my daughter enjoys getting the childrens shopping carts and getting her own toys. I donate every single time and you guys rarely say thank you or seem appreciative. TODAY 6/2 I was in and it was busy. I stood in line with my patient 3 year old for about 10 minutes.. that’s not easy for her. She had two toys in the shopping cart and once it was our turn my child out her two toys up and the cashier DEBRA slams her closed sign on the desk and says “I’m done you can go over there.” I was stunned. I said we just waited in line for 10 minutes and we have to go wait in another line are you kidding? DEBRA proceeds to walk away without even talking to me. No consideration what so ever. We stood in line again and the other lady says the manager called her to the back. I don’t care what the manager said.. you see the manager probably would’ve liked her to finish helping the customer and then go to the back!! I’ve never been so mad before. Show some compassion people. If you don’t like customer service then GET OUT! Also, how come you guys can’t sell a toy without a sticker on it? How come I have been charged for a little toy that had 3 $6.00 stickers on it $18.00??? It was clearly suppose to be $6.00. You guys seem like scammers. Quit charging $8.00 for DOLLAR TREE items. Anyways, talk to your employees about customer service. It’ll help you out in the long run. I’ll be shopping at other thrift stores...
Read moreSadly, I am disappointed in the new CDA store. I was so very excited for this thrift store to open. I have supported UGM for years through donations and shopping in Spokane Valley. I love their mission and I was able to purchase things I need and feel good about spending my hard earned money. They help the community on both ends of the transaction. But the CDA store is so over priced. I went opening day and, as of yesterday, most of the items that were there on day one are still there. 15 dollars for a used cake tray? Hundreds for pieces of used furniture, NICE things that would be 50-100 at the valley store... Sad. I still drive over to the valley store where I can afford to shop. Good selection of clothes, but goodwill is cheaper. Hope they find their groove. Hope some feedback might let them know, people WANT to shop there, but can't afford to.
UPDATE: 6 MONTHS LATER the prices are still the same or even higher. And they have now started refusing to take donated (in beautiful condition) items because they are "out of room"... Seems pricing things to move so that you can accept more good things to sell would help the mission a bit more. 🤔 Makes it hard to say yes when they ask if I would like to purchase a meal for the shelter when I am...
