I had placed an order online roughly between 1-1:30 pm an chose same day pick up. It was almost 6 when I was out so I stopped to pick my item up. At first they couldn't find my item. So they called someone i believe was a manager. She took about 20 mins to find it. She said it wasnt picked yet because 2 people went home sick that day. I work in a factory so when somebody goes home someone else fills there position. We go find the item to make sure it was indeed in the store. It was. It was sitting on the shelf in the salon. The manager tries to pick the item while another manager comes into play. I show her my email about the order i placed an the time. She then says well you can't get it till tomorrow because you ordered it past a certain time. I then said the certain time you are talking about is 3 I ordered it around 1-1:30 so it should be same day pick up. An she continuously argued with me that it wasn't. The first person I was talking to was able to pick an process the item I was there for while the 2nd manager was still saying i cant get it and that instead can buy one and cancel my online order an take 24 to 72 hrs to refund me the money. Im not made of money an live paycheck to paycheck an couldnt afford that I explained to her. She then continued to say well you can come back tomorrow an get it. I insisted that I got same day pick up i paid for the item so i should be able to leave with it not have to wait an extra day because people left early sick. I then get the feeling im being discriminated because of my features. I have tattoos on my face and neck an dont look like the typical shopper in the store. I was there for 2 hours with nothing to show for it. I felt very unwelcomed an awkward by the end...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI stood in a long line for several minutes while a single cashier handled customers. There were other employees standing around the store, awkwardly just staring at us in line. Iām not the type of customer to complaināIām very laid-back and patient because Iāve worked in customer service for a long time and I understand weāre all human. But my whole experience in the store felt like a giant waste of time and money after watching them all stand around like that ): At one point another employee did come over, to help I thought, but rather than open a register she decided to chat with a hair stylist that was passing by, instead. When I was about to put my items back and leave, an employee (Kaci) from way over in the beauty department came to rescue us. She was extremely friendly and personable, and I watched as one by one she improved the mood and experience of each customer in the formerly frustrated and disgruntled line. I wanted to leave the store 2 or 3 stars and cross it off my list of future shopping options, but Kaci redeemed JCPenney for me. This 5 star review is for her, and I sure hope she is a valued part...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere are some skilled hair designers and stylist her but flaws I noticed is white stylist are afraid or dont know how to do Ethic or African American hair. They stare at you like you have a eyeball on the middle of your forehead. The problem I have with this is hair is hair, it's just a different texture. They should all know how to wash, condition, dry, trim cut and style any texture of hair. Yet if you go to the African American stylist or designers there the can do white, Hispanic, African American you name it any kind of hair. I use to travel to a JcPenny in Columbus Ohio and it was the same situation. Also since when did blow drying a client's hair become a seperate charge on a bill at a salon? Tge one start is for Penny's not the hair stylist that can do any type of...
