Our experience with Ben Bridge Jewelers started off wonderfully about three months ago. We worked with a representative named Erin, who was incredibly helpful during the diamond selection process and helped us create the engagement ring of my dreams. At that point, we were excited to continue working with Ben Bridge for our wedding bands.
Unfortunately, thatâs where the positive experience ended.
When we returned to order our wedding bandsâsimple, classic gold bandsâwe learned Erin was no longer working there. From then on, the service became inconsistent. We were shuffled between different staff members due to scheduling issues, and no one seemed to take ownership of our experience.
About 10 days ago, I visited the store intending to order and pay for our bands. I was told they needed to contact a third-party vendor for updated pricing and would call me Monday. I was also told they couldnât take payment over the phone, even though I made it clear I wouldnât be able to return until the weekend due to my work schedule.
No one called. So I returned that Saturday, only to be quoted $3,500âup from $2,700 just two weeks prior. Thatâs a 22% increase, and when I asked why, the sales associate, Angela, rolled her eyes and started being disrespectful and condescending giving me the excuse that âthe cost of gold goes up.â
Exceptâit actually hasnât. In fact, gold prices per oz has declined by about 2.6% over the past two weeks. Her condescending tone made it feel like she assumed we were too ignorant to know better.
This kind of treatment was shocking, especially after spending $5,000 with Ben Bridge and returning to spend another $4,000.
We ended up walking across the hallway to two other jewelers, received clear, fair quotes in MINUTES âwithout the attitude or hassles âand made our purchase elsewhere.

She put off this attitude as though we were an inconvenience to here and now she wasn't going to make a big ticket sale. I have been to Ben Bridge many times before and they have always had great customer service. We were trying to decide which charms we were going to get and she then said, "soooo what are you going to do here?" This comment just showed that she did not want to help us and we were wasting her time. We then went to the counter to pay and not once asked if we had a phone number for the BB account. She asked after everything was purchased for the warranty purpose. She gave me 2 addresses that have not been used in years. To speed up things, she told me that she was just going to put it under an address I haven't been to in 12 years. Never once asked to change it to our current address. I then asked if she could change it for me. She huff and puffed then wrote it on a old receipt. She said she'll do it later. Highly doubtful that had happened. The only positive thing in this experience was she gave my daughter which she slid all 10 over the counter. My daughter had to then pick them all up by hand one by one. She could have just been kind and handed them to her. Not sure if I will be back to this location. Great customer service makes the loyal...
   Read moreThis time was great. It did however take a couple of trips to this store. I was waiting over 45 minutes before I gave up. I did come back the next day in the morning and only because I knew you had what I was after cause I saw it the night prior. the gentlemen that help me the following morning was great. The night prior...Saturday night around 7pm, I wouldn't give them a star at all. THe one guy saw me standing there and kept helping people who came in way after me. Very disappointed in the service that night. Sunday gets a 5 star this review is for the Saturday night crew!
SO....After this we tried to take the peice back to exchange and the lady was extremely rude when it was pointed out that she kept helping others in front of us....to the point she even helped the Fed Ex guy who was picking up a box who came after us. He even pointed out to her that we were there first and he'd wait. But No just out of spite she help him. Needless to say, I will never do business in this store again! You may want to get a number system. I'd love to talk to the VP cause the manager wasn't much help....
