"THANK YOU!" is how I'd like to start this review for Desert Diamond Jewelers.

I have been browsing around Yelp for a jeweler in Las Vegas to perform rhodium plating on my wedding set and a new art deco-style eternity band that I received for Valentine's day. However, the art deco band felt "tight" even though it was ordered to be 5 1/2 (the same size as my wedding set, but made by a different jeweler).

Thank you everyone for your reviews as that's how I came to discover Desert Diamond Jewelers. I sent them a message on Yelp asking for a quote (including photos) for rhodium plating on 3 rings and potential resizing. They got back to me very quickly, answered my additional questions, and I decided to stop by the next morning.

I was quickly greeted by Bill and he remembered us messaging the night before. When I spoke with him about my "tight" band, he confirmed that it was 5 1/2 on the dot so we measured my wedding set to be sure and lo and behold - it was 5 3/4..... :p We spoke about the resizing and the additional layer of difficulty to perform this for a full eternity band with stones all around, but I requested to forge ahead with the resizing. He also gave the center stone on my engagement ring a look and spoke with me about ensuring to get it looked at (especially the prongs) every 6 months - which they do here!

The turnaround time for the resizing of one ring and rhodium plating of 3 rings was AMAZING (I was happily surprised) and I quickly got my babies returned to me!

Bill also made sure to talk to me about ring cleaning/maintenance and when I was trying to find the "spot" where they did the resizing - I couldn't! They're that good! Also, he gave my center stone a quick wipe (LOL) before I left because I kept touching it since I was in AWE by how everything looked after a cleaning and rhodium plating. They...

All of the stars! I forgot how beautiful my ring is and fell in love all over again when I picked it up. A diamond had fallen out of my engagement ring and I noticed some of the stones were loose. Initially, I was going to go through my jewelry insurance to have it fixed, and they were one of the jewelers insurance recommended. When I called they went through the pros and cons of using insurance to fix it vs paying out of pocket. I decided not continuing with the claim would save me money in the long run.

To be honest I was shocked at how little I paid for them to fix my ring. When I went to a big box retailer (rhymes with jay) they quoted me $200 JUST to replace the diamond. It would’ve been an additional $50 for prong tightening and another $46 to have it re-finished. Instead of being out $300, I paid less than $200 for the whole shebang. They even lengthened the prongs to make them more secure and save me the trouble of fixing it again in the future.

They were also fast, literally too fast for me. I had a lot going on and wasn’t able to pick up my ring right away. And honestly, I’m impressed at the turnaround time given how busy they were. Both times I went in they had several customers in store, which makes sense given their knowledge, customer service, and fair pricing. They even cleaned my great grandmother’s ring while I was there and the man who helped me knew so much about it just from the 37 seconds of looking at it.

I’ll never go to a big retailer again. My ring is perfect and ready for my wedding day and I’m genuinely so thankful for them for making this process quick and easy.

When I moved to Vegas a few years ago, I was looking for my go-to jeweler. Desert Diamond Jewelers had wonderful reviews on Yelp, and was in close proximity to our home in SoHi. From the very first visit, the customer service has been outstanding! It’s a family run business and it’s no exaggeration that they have treated me like family. They have handled the cleaning and repair of my jewelry perfectly and the results have been impressive. They have cleaned rings, replaced watch batteries, repaired a treasured bracelet and even offered their shop as a safe place to handle a transaction of the private sale of a very special engagement ring and wedding bands in which I was selling to another person I had never met. They cleaned the rings and gave a very fair and thorough appraisal. The wedding set looked spectacular! The person purchasing the set was very impressed and the sale took place right there. They gave their appraisal and answered any questions this person had, even providing a beautiful box with a light in it for the special engagement day! Stunning! I really do love the appreciation THEY show for my business with them. Although I’ve not yet made a purchase from their vast, beautiful, selection in their showcases, I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else. I tell everyone I know about Desert Diamond Jewelers and hope anyone who is looking for a reputable and reliable jeweler finds themselves in their shop.
