I walked into Poke Poku off Stephanie in Henderson approximately around 1056 because the sign in the window was blinking "Open". Assuming that they were ready and just opened a few minutes early. As soon as I walked in the girl counting the register had looked at me and said, "Oh we're not actually open yet, if you could give us a couple minutes ok?" I responded of course with a simple "ok." Its been a couple years since I walked into Poke Poku. Last one I walked into was off Eastern. It's 1100 and the girl is still counting the register, the other girl is filling her sanitary buckets of water and towels. At 1105 they were ready. I'm not gonna lie, at this point I was actually already irritated. I'm on my way to work and thinking this was gonna be an easy order, pick up and go. During the ordering process was easy... came to the end and THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE BAGS! I've been in the restaurant environment before and this I think was quite sad. I've heard this location made it on "Dirty Diners" a while back and figured I'd give it a shot being it was very convenient but in my eyes... it's being ran poorly. Hand written Poke Sauces written on the walls, hand written signs on the display cases, NO TO-GO BAGS and the girl counting the register just seemed like she doesn't even enjoy working there. Personally their personality sucked. I'm sorry to say but whomever did the hiring process well, try to make your employees pretend like they actually enjoy doing what they do. The girl who took my order apologized though about not having bags...which I appreciated but... come on guys. The most basic necessities of a To-Go Bag and not even having that is embarrassing. I wonder how the Eastern Location is being ran...🤔

Read morePoke Poku never disappoints. I got off work early today around 8 PM and decided to stop by since they close at 9:30 PM and I had a free entrée to redeem. When I arrived, the two ladies working had such bubbly and friendly personalities. They were chatting with the girl in front of me and honestly, it added to the welcoming vibe.
When it was my turn, the girl who made my bowl was super sweet. She even complimented my Rauw Alejandro shirt and said it was a cool shirt, which made my night. I ordered a large poke bowl with white rice and she served just the right amount, which I really appreciated since sometimes it’s less than expected.
For my sides, I picked spicy crab and avocado. For proteins, I got salmon, tuna, spicy tuna, and spicy salmon. I added masago and cucumber to the mix and went with the LA style sauce. I asked for some LA style on the side too, just to try it that way for the first time. Even though she got the sauce just right in the bowl, the extra on the side definitely hit too so no complaints there.
I topped it off with crispy onions and jalapeños, redeemed my entrée by entering my phone number, and the whole process was fast and easy. Shoutout to the girl who made my bowl and to the entire crew for their good vibes and great service. I’m eating it as I write this and it’s so good I had to give them the recognition...
Read moreI love getting food at this restaurant. It's fresh and tasty, but the most recent time I went there, I ordered the "gangster style" sauce because the description didn't include any soy sauce. The girl who help me mixed in "Aloha sauce". When I asked why she did that (since it wasn't in the description), she replied that the description was a joke. I asked if the Aloha sauce had soy sauce, and she said yes. I told her that I wasn't supposed to have that because of a gluten sensitivity, and she didn't seem phased. I told her that people with a gluten allergies need to be made aware of this because people who have issues with gluten shouldn't have soy sauce. All she said was that she would do that next time, but she didn't offer to remake my order or give a discount. Thankfully I don't have a bad gluten allergy, or I'd be in trouble. Like I said, I love this restaurant, but if you have any sort of gluten issues, either go somewhere else or hold the server's hand and make sure that they know all about your allergy and to not put any soy sauce...
