I love Hobby Lobby and was Happy when I moved from Dallas to Las Vegas to find one close to my Home…until todays experience. The staff at this location are always sweet and helpful. But the manager is rude and short not even willing to assist a customer who spends hundreds at her establishment at least twice a month.
Let me explain, I went in to grab tshirts for custom shirts for my staff …I needed 12 more shirts but they only had 6 of the sizes I needed…no issue. I also decided to pick up supplies for our pumpkin contest (foam boards and paint) I noticed they had the foam boards on sale, after carefully reading the sign and grabbing the foam board associated with the sign (exact dimensions and color) I get to the counter and the board came out to the original price. I explained to the super nice cashier that the pricing was different and there was a sale sign and I made sure I grabbed the correct one. She asked the manager who looked me up and down and was very dismissive Instead of saying, “Let me have someone double check” she said very nasty, “The price is what it says”. I asked the cashier if she could pause while I went and took a picture of the posted sign. She nicely said “of course” I went back and took the picture (actually a video) grab another the board from the exact marked location. I decided I didn’t want to spend the amount I planned on spending after her actions and put all of the shirts back. I ended up only spending $18 which was around 10% of what I was prepared to spend. My only ask is that she is retrained and maybe introduced I to some racial sensitivity classes and inclusion classes because it’s clear that I wasn’t her idea Customer and me being a different color making a 8 figure salary and spending Money no-weekly at her store didn’t matter. I was dismissed and sent on my way. I will miss the amazing staff at this location but will not return when the manager is clearly racist. This incident happened around 3pm on October 25th 2023
The reason I decided to write a review is so others will not experience what I...
Read moreI have shopped Hobby Lobby plenty of times just fine, but this last time was an unpleasant experience. An item was purchased that was marked on clearance. Got the item home right after and tried batteries to test it out and it didn't work. I returned to the store, asked for assistance as I've never made a return there before by asking if i just jump in line. The lady I asked wasn't friendly and pretty short with her response. I tried not to think much of it as it was about 25 mins until closing. I waited in a decent line and eventually, the same lady I asked for assistance opened up another register. I handed her the item, explained it didn't work and requested a refund. She then told me that there are no refunds on clearance items. I asked if that was the case, even if it was broken and she stated "That's probably why it was on clearance." I was surprised, repeated her statement and she said that's what clearance meant-implying broke. Now, I truly could understand this if there was some prior notice or policy posted somewhere but there was neither. The cashier from earlier who sold the item never mentioned "final sale", nor does the receipt saying anything about clearance items under its return policies. I asked to speak to someone else and after three other ladies came to assist, got the refund situated, or so I thought. I left the store checking the refund receipt realizing the refund was not for the correct item or price. I walked back in and fortunately, the lady who issued the refund was still nearby and corrected it. I believe her name was Cynthia and I truly appreciated her and her help. My piece of advice was to make sure cashiers share that with customers to avoid any of the...
Read moreI recently visited Hobby Lobby to pick up some fabric . Unfortunately, the experience was frustrating due to the extremely long wait in line. The cashier helping me was very slow and careless, repeatedly ringing up items incorrectly and having to fix her mistakes multiple times. Meanwhile, the line next to mine moved much faster, with customers passing me by about five times over.
When I politely expressed my concerns to the cashier, she responded rudely, saying I could shop elsewhere if I had an issue and that my time wasn’t more valuable than anyone else’s. While I agree that patience is important, I was simply pointing out the inefficiency in how she was handling the checkout process. Her response was dismissive and unprofessional.
She had short white and black hair and displayed an extremely poor attitude throughout the interaction. When I brought this up with the manager, I was further disappointed. The manager dismissed my concerns, stating that this was one of their best employees and downplaying the issue entirely.
Overall, this was a horrible experience with both the cashier and the management, and it left me feeling undervalued...
