Alright. I understand that things happen. But this is just ridiculous.
My wife and I decided to try Nacho Daddy for the first time through Grubhub. We found really good food options, made our order, and waited for a driver to accept.
We got our driver, he went to the restaurant, and then texts me and says hey i'm waiting at the restaurant, your food isn't ready yet. (Okay, cool, they are behind a bit from the estimated time)
Then I get a call from an unknown Chicago number, i don't answer unknown numbers, and immediately after the driver texts me and says they didn't have half your order, so i'm only bringing 1 meal and a churro.
I immediately call the restaurant and ask what's going on, and the lady that answered proceeded to tell me, oh we no longer have seafood options as of this morning. We had the driver call you to tell you but you didn't answer.
Wait just a damn minute.......half of the entire order is seafood options, which are still listed on your menu according to grubhub and your own website.....but instead of instantly calling me as soon as the order came in and saying hey, we no longer have this, would you like to replace it with something else or cancel the order, you went ahead and just acted like nothing was wrong, and then had the grubhub driver try to do your job, and when the customer calls in to ask what happened you blame the customer?
Seriously, screw you. 100% the worst incompetence i have ever seen at a place of business, restaurant or otherwise.
Whoever took that order and passed it on to the kitchen without saying Hey, i should call the customer and let them know an entire part of their food doesn't exist should at least have a coaching.
The lady who answered the phone and just blew me off and blamed me for not answering an unknown chicago number from a grubhub driver who should not have been making the notification anyway should be fired for absolute horrible customer service.
And whoever got notified this morning that you were no longer serving seafood options should have instantly logged on to all of their menu's and made the necessary changes to either remove the options or change them to Not Available.
Do not order delivery from this place, or if you do, call the restaurant to order so they can't pull this B.S. on you.
Honestly, the enchilada we did get wasn't even great. Cafe Rio and Taco bell both have better food in my opinion. Or Coyotes is also a...
Read moreMy husband was bugging me to try Nacho Daddy's (once again) after we had several bad service/food issues at their old location on Eastern Ave. Today, I said OKAY, let's give it a try. Got to the St. Rose location around 1 p.m. The table seating had at least a 30-minute wait, but seating at the bar was virtually empty, so we sat there. The bartender was pleasant and was quick to take our order for a chicken quesadilla (an appetizer) and carnitas nachos. We both drank water while we waited.
In the meantime, the seats around the bar had filled up and the other patrons were getting their food. The couple seated across from us had even finished their order and left. And there we were, sitting patiently and waiting. Eventually, we were able to get the attention of the bartender and asked where our order was. He was very apologetic and said he was going to check to see what had happened. That was at 1: 45 p.m. and a few minutes later, a manager stopped by and also apologized for the delay and told us he was going back to the kitchen to put a rush on our order.
By then, my husband had asked me for an aspirin because he was getting a headache from not eating, and we both continued drinking our water while we waited. And waited. And waited. At 2:20 p.m., I was also getting a headache and was nauseous from hunger. I took out a pen and wrote on a napkin "We're the customers that WON"T be back" and I got up to leave.
My husband asked me to sit down, but at that point, I needed something to eat right then. I walked across the parking lot to In-N-Out burger and bought a milkshake to coat my now very sour stomach. A few minutes later, my husband walked out of Nacho Daddy with items in "to go" boxes.
Honestly, I don't care if the food in those boxes was the best food I might ever have, or it was free and came with a rebate, because I am NOT going to be eating any of it and will NOT EVER be returning to any of the Nacho Daddy establishments. I really wish I had read the recent reviews before agreeing to...
Read moreWe went there yesterday excited about the new opening of this restaurant. We were sat down and then no one bothered to come over and greet us and offer water for a noticeable amount of time and mind you this was at 3:30 in the afternoon. They were not that busy is what my point is. We finally had a waitress take our order but then she didn't bother to refill our waters at all and only refilled my husbands soda because he asked during our visit. When the food came my husband's order was wrong so we told her and the waitress asked if we wanted the extra meat that was suppose to be in the food, on the side? Not what she should have asked, instead she should have asked if we wanted it remade the correct way. So my husband just said it was fine he would just make sure we didn't get charged for extra meat he didn't get. We ate our dinner which was just ok, then ordered dessert and when the dessert came not one waitress or bus person cleared off any dishes from dinner or the chips and salsa dish so basically there wasn't any room for the dessert on the table. Really ??? Who is paying attention to the tables for refills of drinks and taking away plates??? Well the guy who brought the dessert had to go get a bucket to put all of our dishes in while my husband held the dessert in his hands until the table was cleared off and we could set the dessert plate down. So anyways for a bill of almost $100 before tip it wasn't worth it at all and we will not be going back. They definitely look like they don't have it together and I realize it's only been open for 7 days but then don't open a restaurant if it's not ready. I would hate to see if they were busy what the service would be like. Sorry for the long story but this was our not so good experience at a restaurant we were excited to go to since it's close to...
