I recently bought a used 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 4 x 4 truck from Music City Autoplex. It was a basic model truck that was sent to Brian's Motorsports to be lifted, before I bought the vehicle. The minute I test drove the truck, the front tires were rubbing the fender wells when I turned left or right. Music City Autoplex assured me they would have this fixed by Brian's (whose profession is lifting and building these trucks.) After dropping the truck off to Music City Autoplex, the dealer sent the truck back to Brian's to repair the rubbing tires (something that Brian's should've been checked before returning it to the dealership). After keeping the vehicle for 2 days, I returned to Music City Autoplex to pick the truck up. I could NOT believe what I saw. The business that specialize in custom builds had broken/cut the mud flap off the truck to keep the tires from rubbing... Are you kidding me? I just paid a ton of money for this vehicle and this is how they fix tire rubbing???? They left metal brackets exposed, tire the fender well liner, it looked like something something that someone with ZERO experience worked on (I have pics). As I expressed my extreme anger about how bad this looked, Music City Autoplex takes the truck back to Brian's Motorsports. They keep it another 2 days to do basically nothing to it. This isn't the first issue I have had with Brian's... While I'm sure Brian's once did good work, it seems they're more worried about hyping a business name rather than turning out quality work any longer. Brake lines were left unattached from the frame, and the lift itself had become so loose you could shake it with your hand. I have considered filing a compliant with the TN. Department of Consumer Affairs as well as the BBB however, with complete neglect, and poor craftsmanship will do far more damage in the long run, it will put them out of business. I would NOT recommend this shop to anyone looking to lift a vehicle, their ego seems to have gotten to big to provide great customer service. Save yourself some money and tons of heartache and find someone else to do your custom...
Read moreWas referred here by the parts manufacturer. However, I was disappointed in my experience as a customer. I talked with the owner about it. He was, unfortunately, not willing to rectify the situation. So I'm writing this review as a caution to others.
Directions were not followed for one part of the two-stage kit install and that part was installed incorrectly which messed up the suspension and also wouldn't align properly.
What should have been a 4 hours max job (according to the manufacturer) turned into 14 (by the time I was able to get the car driveable that night to leave the shop, with the help of AAA, and it still wasn't fixed). No one called me or the manufacturer to seek guidance at any point during the day while I was waiting. I ended up having to fix it myself with the help of the manufacturer's guidance over the phone who diagnosed the problem quickly with pictures of the incorrect installation that I provided.
I asked for two hours worth of labor repayment for having to fix the parts installation and suspension issue myself, and return to the shop to correct the alignment (which took an additional 6 hours of waiting after making a 9 AM follow-up appointment a week earlier). The repayment was denied because of the overtime they had to pay out.
They didn't own up to the incorrect installation. Said they would have figured it out eventually if it was left another day.
I think better communication from the outset from the appointment setter and installer for a gameplan with expectations and potential challenges would have made for a better experience instead of just taking the job and trying to figure it out. I put my trust in them since the manufacturer recommended them, but, as they say, let the buyer beware. That's on me for failing to do that.
Overall, an unprofessional and expensive experience for myself the customer and the shop owner, apparently, that I hope doesn't happen to...
