We are usually very easy going but the service here was horrendous! We are a family of 5 travelling with a stopover here and decided to try their breakfast. Food overall was decent not great not bad just average.
We ordered our food and asked for 2 veggie sausages instead of bacon. When the food came out there was confusion about the veggie sausages and the server rudely told us look at it it is....then he told us it's chicken sausage....no wait it's veggie sausage. He flipped back and forth and was very adamant that we should be able to tell. We are from a different country our products look different and we just asked to verify as all these mocked meats are made to look like real meat.
Payment time. Our flight was delayed and the airline provided food vouchers. We used the vouchers and I gave him an extra voucher to cover tip. He charged the extra voucher then comes back and tells me it doesn't cover the bill his tip blah blah... I asked why he charged the extra one if it didn't cover tip etc that he should have told me I could have kept that voucher to purchase water, Snacks etc for our flight elsewhere. He rudely brushed us off saying don't worry and rudely left. We are in the service industry so if a tip is owed we will pay it but his demeanor was dreadful! We asked for change for a hundred and when we did give him a cash tip (standard tip amount) he then said "that's it?" At that point we just got up and walked away.
TIPS ARE EARNED NOT DEMANDED!
His attitude, behavior and lack of service was the worst we have ever experienced and that in itself completely ruined our breakfast.
Keep walking, choose Auntie Annie's or Subway or even Starbucks! Better service...
Read moreI am waiting here for 10 min, no one came to take my order. A lady sits next to my table and she gets to order. I asked the server if she could take my order and ahe declined! I had to go to the hostess to have someone come in and take my order. I only cane here because of Priority Pass lounge access. I also noticed some customers are getting proper clothe napkins and some are getting paper. Not sure if they have discrimination against priority pass holders. The severs seems sad and uninterested in serving. It’s 6:53 pm should be a busy time for most airport restaurants but it is not. I just got my IPA, which tastes ok. Let’s see if I get my food before the beer finishes! Ok the food arrived relatively sooner than I expected - within 10 min of my order. The battered salmon (two small pieces was served with strips of bacons that were very salty and hard to crack, and lettuce) on a pita bread was ok except for the bacon part. I am done with my dinner and waiting for my check. You have to ask for the check, which is not so bad. Since this not a busy place, it makes sense. The gentlemen next to me paid and the machine ran out of paper but she filed it quickly. When ai asked for the check, she gave me one without $28 deductions for the priority pass and bow she went back to correct it. Five more minutes won’t hurt! Nope it’s past 10 minutes! She already checked out another customer with priority pass but not sure why she cannot give me the corrected check. So she asked me to show my priority card and flight number again. Read moreI Ordered a Burger and a beer on 10/11 and wanted to pay part of the bill with a food voucher I had from United. The digital one I had wasn't working and the server was visibly annoyed that he had to try run the voucher for me. So feeling rushed and unwelcome I gave the server (I unfortunately don't recall his name) my debit card to hold while I went to united customer service to get a new voucher. Upon my return I paid with the paper voucher and the rest in cash, the server then asked for 3 more dollars which in a fluster I gave him. Anxious to get to my terminal and no longer having the receipt I added up how much I gave him - He over charged me by $8 (I'm assuming he decided to add his own tip to the bill which is unacceptable), not having much time I talked to the manager on duty who apologized and offered me a free desert or something, which I declined, i needed to get to my terminal. He said he would talk to the server involved - I wonder if he ever did. To top it off, the server did not return my card when I paid him in cash and in my haste I didn't think about it. Later I discovered that the serer ran my card without my permission and I now have the expense sitting on hold in my account.
