Dave Sharkey stands by his work and if there is a problem, it get corrected FAST. I brought my Yamaha F70 to him in the late fall of 2021. I was having fuel problems (ethanol). He pumped all the junk out and tuned the motor with new injectors. It was late in the season and I stored the boat with an empty tank. This spring I filled it with $130 of clean (now very $$) gas and launched. Problem at once....missing on two cylinders. Called Dave who said don't drive it to me because you could damage the motor, I WILL COME TO YOU. Several hours later and a lot of work trying to diagnose and fix a boat in the water he was able to come up with an answer - the injectors he had received were defective. Long story end, he replaced the injectors AND ALL WAS GOOD! I call this outstanding service by a guy who is an expert and totally customer focused. ...

I wish I were a local so I could use Sharky’s all the time. The NICEST guy around! Genuinely cares about his work, even follows up afterwards. I had limited revs in my motors and a long transit ahead before putting the boat on a trailer to go to her home port and not only did he get me up and running, but he saw me just an hour after I called! He kindly explained the problems, offered suggestions for what other problems should be soon addressed, offered to walk me through a quick-fix in the event I were to break down mid-transit, and even followed up afterwards to make sure I made it safely and then offered some other suggestions to pass on to the boat owners. I fully endorse his services and wish I knew more people in Atlantic Highlands to whom I could pass his name along. A true gem of a mechanic...

Sharkey has been working on our boat for the past three years. He's replaced the steering column, thermostats in both Honda outboard engines as well as both water pumps. He's changed the spark plugs and put new seals in the hydraulic steering. He's winterized the motors for the past three years. This can do everything marine mechanic has even replaced our VHF radio. Sharkey has put in a new fish box pump and replaced a broken bolt in the engine head. His pricing is below the average fee while providing above average, in fact excellent professional services. Not only has Sharkey been a friend to our boat, his work ethic and demeanor has made him a friend to us!...
