Giant Food — Local services in Hillcrest Heights

A few days ago I ordered a birthday cake for my five-year-old to be picked up from the Marlow Heights location bakery at 9 today August 21st. When I went to go pay for it I noticed that the " 5th" was missing in between happy and birthday , followed by her name. Not only thay but they cake looked nothing like the website cake advertisement. A Bernard Johnson was called to customer service he informed me he was the store manager and all they could do was offer a measly 5$off the day of her party. When I showed him the picture that was advertised for my daughter's Minnie cake he then told me that there were no guarantees for the cakes to look similar just because it's advertised but that doesn't really make sense. You shouldn't advertise something and then make excuses because you don't want to hire qualified culinary staff. And then he and the bakery woman tried to persuade me to let them squeeze in the five on her cake as if it weren't bad enough. This man said $5 off and walked away there was no regard for the inconvenience or anything. I've never experienced anything like this in my life. This is my neighborhood grocery store, and at this point I'm just going to let everyone know not to go there for birthday cakes. Bernard was nonchalant and unprofessional, it was truly disgusting but my child was alongside me .This wasn't the way I wanted to start off the day of my kids party. I can't post the pics here for some reason but I'll be going higher regarding this matter and will most defintely find a space online, to spare other customers the inconvience. If 0 stars was an option that's what would've been given. Next time I guess I'll aim for a bakery not false...

This Giant Food is located within the Marlow Heights Shopping Center. I had a very nice visit and I need to send a Shout Out now to my fabulous Cashier (Ms.) Tujuan. Tujuan went Above and Beyond by helping retrieve from a shelf an important item for me that I wanted to try for the first time. Not only that, and Without Any Pressure Whatsoevet, Tujuan presented me with all of the flavors of the product and that inspired me to buy more of these drinks without hesitation. In addition, I suffer from several disabilities, but Tujuan did not/does not know this about me, so that automatically let's me know that her offer to walk to almost the other end of this store to get these drinks for me is the Epitome of someone who possesses Outstanding Customer Service/Customer Service Care & Etiquette Skills. In addition, Tujuan is obviously also not only intelligent, but she is also extremely and genuinely Kind/Has A Kind Heart. Even though this store is not close to my house, I will have no problem Shopping here now on a regular basis now and I'm very much looking forward to my next...

My brother and I were shopping for ingredients at the Marlow Heights Giant for dinner. We usually split up because I wanted to see what I wanted to purchase for myself like necessities, as I was walking through the aisles, I noticed my zipper was out so I went to a corner and zipped it back up only for an employee with an African accent to see me, as I was done with the aisles and found nothing, I noticed a security guard following me and told me to empty my pockets. Nothing was there besides my headphones and a few receipt papers, then he asked where my brother was. He was as confused as I was when the security guard told him to empty his pockets. Only for it to be nothing, then the African man who works there flat out accused me of stealing than my brother. We were both confused and it ruined our experience. As someone who has been shopping here all his life, I've never had that happen to me before it's almost pretty comical!! This man needs to do his job better instead of...
