I have frequented this location in Marlow Heights, Md often after a long day's work, when I was too tired to confront their unpleasant attitude. I have had to repeat my orders repeatedly to the borderline rude staff through the drive thru microphone. One staff member, an elderly, bald, gentleman, is particularly abrasive and I have tried to brush it off as his unintentional style. If I ask for condiments from the staff I can, but not always, receive a rude stare and everything else short of sucking teeth. Often items I ordered are missing or not made as requested. This time I was half-way down the road when I realized the staff had forgotten my straw for my soft drink. I drove back and walked up to the drive thru, and was rudely told to obtain my straw inside the restaurant by a frightened staff member. I complained to the usually abrasive staff member about the forgotten straw, admittedly already with an annoyed tone. He then yelled back at me and was on his way to follow me in bathroom, turning around when I came out because I had only used it very briefly. This occurred on Tuesday, May 16, ca. 3:20pm. The staff is usually paying attention to themselves and cracking jokes, which I understand as necessary therapeutic relief, because I work customer service in retail myself. However, the line was crossed on one occasion during the winter when one of the staff members at that restaurant informed me that to him I resembled Curious George. It made me smile and acknowledge the comment with compassion, because I thought he was projecting and possibly traumatized because he himself in fact resembled Curious George far more than I did, but I would never have thought of it, if he hadn't brought it up. In any case, that restaurant location offers mostly horrible experiences, and I won't be visiting it again. As I was completing my comments while sitting in the restaurant, the actual manager, a Ms. Debra Williams coincidentally appeared to check on the well-being of her guests, speaking to everyone present. I detailed my grievances to her. She listened attentively, understood where I was coming from, acted very professionally, was very sympathetic, thankfully she clarified Burger King policies with regard to the Drive thru area, and she apologized "profusely"(her words) for my experience. I really appreciated this, but I don't trust any of her staff enough ever to visit that...
Read moreI ordered using the mobile app but requested first to the manager, Sonya and then the young female employee that my food be fresh. Sonya was kind enough to start cooking my order. While waiting, I observed the young female employee being rude and attitudinal when the manager Sonya corrected her about cooking a basket full of chicken nuggets and how it would reflect badly on the night shift. When the young woman begins to address me she is a bit attitudinal but proceeded to ask what did I want. I told her I would like my chicken fries, mozzarella sticks and French fries fresh. She gave me two out of the three and then told me the fries weren’t even cold. I told her I asked for fresh and I’m paying for it. Once the fries were done she bagged fries for the drive thru and told me drive thru comes first. I then asked the manager Jonathan who was at the register to please ask her to give me my fries so I can go. He told me they were understaffed and she wasn’t doing that on purpose. That would’ve made sense but the young woman tried to give me fries earlier that she said weren’t cold and could have used the remainder of those fries while I was waiting on the fresh ones. Jonathan was also rude while defending his employee but my request was very simple. I personally understand the pressures of working at that location but working there...
