Dear [Restaurant Manager’s I am writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent order I received from your restaurant. The food was placed in a paper bag that was not durable enough to hold the contents securely. As a result, the bag tore, and my food spilled completely before I could even begin to enjoy it.

To make matters worse, when I contacted your team to address the issue, no effort was made to replace the food or offer any form of compensation. This lack of accountability and customer care is unacceptable, especially for a paying customer who expected basic service standards to be upheld.

I kindly request that you review this situation and take appropriate steps to rectify it. At the very least, a replacement meal or refund should be issued. I hope you will use this as an opportunity to improve the packaging you provide and ensure better customer service in the future.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response.

Sincerely, Hakym

Never again. Tropicana EARNED this 1 star. This used to be my favorite spot to get good, delicious, and somewhat tender oxtails but not again. After having two really bad experiences with the taste of the oxtails, I for some slow reason decided to give it a final try. Wish I didnt. Disgusting...I was sooo thrown off. The reasons for my three times bad experience here was because the oxtails taste has changed(maybe a new chef within the past year or 2), the oxtail was hard af, and they give u tiny pieces for the price you pay. I will not be returning here for oxtails ever again. And for the people saying they oxtails tender, the lies... even during the times when I would consider the oxtails good, I could never say they fell off the bone. Never. Not here. They ight. The reason it made a one star on my review was because the rice was average. They act like they dont like giving you extra hot sauce. Even when you try to...

This was my third time visiting this place my rule is three strike you're OUT... POOR CUSTOMER SERVICES, my order has never been correct, I PARTIALLY checked my order this time big mistake because I knew better from previous visits... I fail to completely check my food before leaving...I ordered extra curry gravy on my curry shrimp because customer service topically only but curry gravy on top of the rice and underneth three thirds of the rice is dry ...with covid -19 going on I didn't want people all around me while I checked my food that's the only reason I didn't thoroughly ckeck knowing better...sure enough I arrived home started eating.....I was livid I repeatedly ask customer service to make sure I had extra (c.g.) and I was assured all B.S again underneth dry as a bone...and last but not lease they're very over priced for the food portions given. At this point I would not let my DOG eat there....

A hiding culinary experience, Finding this place was a mere coincidence, we were on our way back to Dahlgren VA from our visit to Washington DC, and decided to have a quick bit any were, we saw a place for po’boy’s and decided to try it, as soon as we got in we change our minds, I noticed before going in a Jamaican food place next to it so I suggested we try it, to our surprise there was a long line of people just to order so that has to be a good sign, I asked for a suggestion to the girl taking orders for my first time having Jamaican food so I got the curried goat and my friend the shrimp…..WOOOOW!!! This is so delicious!!! I totally recommend this place, fast food with a home style Jamaica food, I also had a ginger beer (ginger version of root beer) surprisingly good.

WARNING DO NOT GET THE ROTI FROM HERE. This is not Trinidadian Roti. Who in the right mind would put cabbage in a shrimp Roti? 1. The curry has no flavor and is barely there in the roti. 2. I only received 3 shrimp and one potato chunk. Shrimp Roti is supposed to be filled with a good amount of shrimp, curry and potatoes. 3. The cabbage was not seasoned at all. As you see in the picture I couldn’t even finish it. When I called to explain the said “we spice our food according to the taste of our customers”. How can you show a community Caribbean food with white people flavoring in a predominantly black community? That is not the correct way to introduce roti to the community. They need to listen to the reviews and season the food properly.

The first person of contact (skinny black guy) is very rude very nasty and doesn’t have any compassion. Also, this place can change the price any given time please ask for pricing because they display one price and then they ring you up for another if you don’t check your receipt so once time I asked about the oxtail dinner, and it was more than what it said on the menu. And then he pointed out a very, very small, fine print, saying prices are subject to change it anytime this is very misleading and not a company that I for the people they seem like they are all the money. He doesn’t even seem like he likes Black people at all unless they are Jamaican. The oxtails wer more like “FAT TAILS” and not very seasoned. They are over priced.
