ABC Store - Orange Co — Local services in Hillsborough

Nice store and great selection but the lady behind the counter was a gigantic assh*le to us. My fiancée and I were being pretty relaxed and friendly on this slow Christmas eve, but we were greeted with some seriously raw hostility when my fiancée realized she didn't have her ID (she did have a scanned copy on her phone but the clerk refused it). The hostile worker snapped at us while she refused to sell anything, so we told her we'd be right back with the ID to finish the transaction since we lived 10 mins from the store.

We arrived back at the store after 20 mins to find the doors locked. When I tried to open the door a little more forcefully thinking it was stuck, this same lady was emphatically and angrily gesturing that they were closed. Apparently they had closed at 6, which would have been nice to know up front since we tried to check out at 5:50. It wouldn't have been any extra effort for her to let us know, but it seems like she was more focused on whatever was causing her to act like that.

Seriously lady, if you're reading this, take a Xanax before...

The absolute best ABC store I've been in. Selection is insane. If you dont know what you want, you could easily spend 30 minutes or more browsing, lol. There are a ton of items I haven't seen elsewhere, too. The staff are all awesome and knowledgeable, know where everything is, and will help steer you if you're looking for something specific or out of the ordinary as well. Stopped by the ABC Store in Hillsbourgh on Monday and found a bottle of Wiseman Bourbon which is made by the White Owl distillery! It is about 1/3 of the price of White Owl and to me just as smooth!
