If I could I would give 0 stars. I am very disappointed with Auto Zone in Hillsborough. I've been buying all of my parts from that store for nearly 10 years and I'm tired of them selling me bad parts. A few years ago I had to get an altenator for my Mazda. As soon as I had gotten it out of the shop my son had to drive it back to Greenville. He stopped of in Zebulon to get gas and the car would not start. We were stranded. I had to drive all the way from Hillsborough to get him. After several attempts to get it started, I ended up giving him my car to get back to school in time for a meeting. I was still stranded until dark. It resulted in me having to get my car towed back to Hillsborough which costed me over $100. I had later learned that the item sold was defective. A wire was loose. After all I went thru, they had reimbursed me back towing fee. I still continued to get parts there because that is where my mechanic purchased all of his parts and I knew alot of the workers there who are very nice. In May of this year I was having problems in my car. I learned I needed a tune up. Spark plugs, valves, O2 sensors. Had it all replaced and my car ran fine. Last week my engine light came on. I took it to Auto Zone in Chapel Hill and they tell me that my front O2 sensor was bad. I told them that that was impossible because I had both of them replaced in June. There is no way that sensor could have gone out that quick. So last Friday I went to the Auto Zone in Hillsborough where my part came from and spoke with Matt. He acted nonchalant to what I was saying because I told him that I think they sold me a bad sensor. He told me he have been known to see sensors replaced every 6 months. I found that hard to believe and he said that there was something else wrong with my car that cause the sensor to go bad. So far there is nothing wrong with my car. I've had O2 sensors replaced before in the past and the car I had then was having alot of issues and my sensors didn't go out in a 5 month period. I told him that I think that I was given a bad sensor and now I have to replace it again and pay someone to do it in which I don't think that it is fair to be charged for labor again for replacing a bad item. He appeared to become irritated and told me that he will replace my sensor but will not reimburse me for the labor and told me I need to go back to my mechanic. I grabbed my paper and walked out. I then got to my car and called the corporate or regional office but they have not yet returned my call so it's obvious they don't care. So why would I continue to give my money to a disrespectful place. It's a shame that you treat your customers that way. So after 9 years I should go take my business elsewhere where I can get friendly service and a place that does not sell bad parts. But if they did sell a bad part, they would make it right. Now that is quality customer service. You have to remember that you wouldn't exist if it wasn't for your customers. So I will not be coming back to your store and i will not trade in the bad sensor for fear of getting another bad one. I'll take my business elsewhere where they sell quality parts and better customer service. I don't need to be treated like I'm just trying to get money. That's what thieves do and I am NOT a thief. But thank you Matt for making me feel like one. Keep up the good customer service that you display....
Read moreTop notch crew on a weekend. I walk in and a lady greets me. I ask for a part I am looking for (I have bad part in hand). She is not sure so asks a guy behind desk with his nose in his phone if they do. He "mumbles something" along the lines of "we don't have" & I need "mumbles something" with his nose still in his phone. Another guy comes from the back grabs the bad part I am trying to replace, says something in passing as he hands it back walks out the door to go next door. I ask the guy with his nose still in his phone where something is in the store, he says "yeah we have them" never telling me where they are. I find them, get the sizing I need & walk out with the phone guy no where to found & the lady walking from the back without saying a word. Would this be considered false advertising based on how you commercials represent your company because the help or I should say lack there of was a far cry from what your commercials claim to portray. Though it may not be a lot to your company, I would have spent over $200 in parts with the work I was doing on my vehicle but instead of driving 5-10 mins to this location, I drove 20-30 minutes to your competition in which they were very helpful and in turn got my $200+. So this one location & their lack of customer service will keep me away from all your locations being there was another one of your locations near the competition I did do business with. Yet again, it was only $200, I am just a small...
Read moreI have been coming to autozone since we moved here back in 2013. Alway had a great experience and never had any complaints. But today on July 2 , we experienced the worest customer service in our life. “Chris” the person helping us. He was complete out of pocket, rude, disrespectful and very unprofessional. We had a couple thing on our list that we needed to get. At first everything was great as alway. But then we asked for the 3rd thing on our list and he was starting to notice an addiitude toward us. Then we asked another question about a warranty on an item and He proceeded to tell us that we have already previously returned that item. He look up our account, Chris went to the back grabbed the part. He came back and proceeded to tell my dad “are you going to bring the other item or are you going to pay for it?” In a rude tone as another customer walked in. My dad bring back the item, he puts it in a box and started aggressively trying to close the box. Like punching the box. I understand there was a language barrier and that was a problem and I tried my best to explain thing to my Ability. I apologize to him and explain the situation, but still continued with the same Attitude. But Chris tone, attitude, professionalism was...
