Planet Fitness — Local services in Hillsborough

Ms. Sarah Smith-I do not know if you are still the manager of the Hillsborough location of Planet Fitness. But if so, I would like to communicate with you my disgust in the way members are treated differently by different staff members. My entire family are members. Myself, my wife and my two teenage sons. 19 and 16. Within the last two months, my 19 year old son was threatened with being asked to leave because he was wearing jeans. Tonight both of my son's were turned away because they were wearing closed toed Berkenstocks. These instances occurred in the late afternoon and evening. I visit the gym 4-5 times a morning myself. Usually 6-7:30 a.m. Weekdays and Sundays. Every single time I am there, and I have posted this on Google reviews, there are two to three men in jeans or work jeans, work boots with dried mud and several male and females in Crocks. I've watched as they've entered the gym and walked past the staff getting a smile from them. Then gone straight to the exercise floor and started working out. Not going to the locker room to change. None of them. I witness this everyday I go in. This is exclusivity, not inclusiveness. Flat out. I resent the fact that my son's are being harassed by some staff at this location. When other members are free to do whatever when it comes to this rule. Most all the morning staff, with the exception of one female on Sundays, do nothing. Look at their phones, chat, flirt with each other...... no cleaning. That's for sure. So I find it very offensive that my son's are being single out by a rule being enforced by few and not at all by many. The more I hear about what happens to my son's and the more I see the neglect of this on other members, the more infuriated I get. They have been attended the location for years in Crocks and Berkenstocks. As well as off and on jeans. I hope you will take this seriously and evaluate how this location is running. It is clearly not running on the basis of inclusiveness. So my 16 year old son gets crap last night for wearing the "wrong" closed toed shoes. This morning 6:35 a.m. a women used the stair climber in socks. Frequent WiFi problems, happy to tell you with some condescension. Planet Fitness doesn’t allow employees to reset a router. Always a ticket getting turned in. Several days this time in Hillsborough, NC. The Guess Rd Durham location had this problem, same thing with turning in a ticket that may or may not be addressed. It lasted 4 weeks. An employee actually told me, “its not about the internet, it’s about the work out “. Hillsborough, not much different. Hard to blame a soft, young staff who aren’t allowed to take initiative. However, sorry with a smile sours in seconds. No one seems even slightly upset that basic services aren’t provided or that your experience is disappointing at best. It’s reoccurring and inexcusable. After the power and water are on, a gym needs one more thing, WiFi. Due to the nature of the building, data is weak, making WiFi necessary. And if the person about to respond (I’ve read the other reviews) is not an owner, or district manager, PLEASE, no reply. The usual just makes it worse. You aren’t really sorry. You will not see this from the perspective of the person who pays the bill (like you do at home) or the perspective of the paying member who experiences this frequently. If someone there actually said “I’m sorry, it is ridiculous, it makes us look bad and we are doing everything we can”. That would be worth a five star review! The last time i was there i had done my work out and went into the locker room and seen this naked man in the locker room people needs to be more consider when in the locker room if you going to change clothes after you shower take your clothes with you or put a towel around you haven't been back since i will be canceled my membership and here is another thing i dislikes about planet fitness the staff they some are nice and some are very rude .and don't ever get behind on ur fees they will really let u have then i wish i had never heard of that place . My third rant about planet fitness please lock ur cars doors i heard cars been broke in and one time when i was there one of the trainers had some plastic wrap and wrap somebody in it and how when u go in planet fitness there is always different people at the counter can't they keep any help planet fitness has stop sending me emails since i left i will never go back there again just couple days ago planet fitness sent me a couple of emails i don't know why recently they send another emails to me they do keep the place clean i will give them that but i...
