Yummy hibachi!

I get take out from here several times a year when I'm in town. I usually get the shrimp hibachi but I got the chicken hibachi today and was surprised by how tender and juicy it was. I guess I expected it to be a little dry or rubbery, based on previous experiences at other hibachi places. Same goes for the shrimp--easy to overcook but it's always been perfect every time in recent memory that I've gotten it at this particular establishment.

The service is friendly and very quick. The price has gone up over the years, as it has at every restaurant, but the portion sizes here are huge! I get 2-3 meals out of every meal I buy here. Can't beat that value. I'm interested to try their newly added sushi menu sometime when I'm in the mood for sushi.

As for the atmosphere, it is a typical takeout restaurant style, but it's nice for what it is--a few decorative accents--and feels very clean. I have dined-in on a couple occasions when my kiddo had too voracious an appetite to make it home. I was here last night and the lady at the front counter taking orders was rude and had a lot of attitude. I asked for a cup of water, and got it from the fountain and it was pink?? So I poured it out and got something else. The lady at the counter started exclaiming to me that “that wasn’t water” that I was getting and that I needed to pour it out and get water. Who wants to drink “water” that looks pink and doesn’t taste like water? She stood there and watched until I was done pouring it out and then took my cup and tried to show me how to get water. I know how to use a drink machine. That was uncalled for. We had been there 2 weeks prior, and when we sat down to wait for our food she had came and brought our food out to us. When our food was ready last night, she yelled at us to come and get the food from up front, she rudely stated that we never told her if it was for here or to go. Extremely horrible...
