Jan '25 - You may find what you're shopping for on a good day but youre better off going to another store, even if just another Food Lion. Some staff really try while others don't. I wouldnt expect a future upside until they fix the leadership or sell to another brand that cares about being in this community.
Today the deli was not staffed. I found out after trying be served at the deli and noone in the entire store showed their face in the area during the wait. I finally found an employee who said they didn't staff the deli today. All the shelves managed by the deli were close to bare so expect shortages tomorrow too. The same store who says they care about our experience and saving us money didn't staff the deli, left all the deli lights on, left the heated shelves on for food they werent cooking, and had equipment in the deli on to look like people are working it. I never could find a manager today, just a bagger willing to tell me the truth. My cashier was great but it doesnt save this overall experience. This store needs to cross train and just start caring again in general.

March '25 - i went to see if the last visit was a fluke. The deli seems to stay functioning properly now. I try to avoid the staff still outside of a few very helpful ones. A handful appear to really appreciate the work and customers. I know from past experiences others do not. If this momentum continues they deserve a better rating.

Read moreI have done Instacart at this location multiple times. But today for some reason the pregnant cashier and the manager were very nasty with me. Now first of all, we Instacarters have to take a quiz and upload our ID’s onto the Instacart platform in order to do alcohol orders. I have never had any issues anywhere else. They wanted me to use my ID to purchase alcohol. I refused and just cancelled the order. I spoke with customer care about this situation. First of all if a customer is buying alcohol then they should be confirming their info and putting the customers ID in the system and I can show mine to verify that I’m of age. But it is illegal to purchase alcohol for someone else in the manner that they were trying to have me get it through Instacart. I will not be taking any more orders there. Read moreHad an annoying experience here recently. There were four people already in the one open checkout line when I became the 5th. A staff member was collecting the garbage from each register instead of helping customers by opening another lane. And yet another employee stood at the customer service desk, where there were no customers, instead of caring that there were now the now seven people with carts standing in the one open line. She looked over to us and said something. I got excited, thinking she was saying "I can take the next customer." She wasn't. She was talking to another employee who was stuck in shelves. And since they don't have self checkout, my options were to keep waiting or to leave my cart without the groceries that had taken me 20 minutes to load. It happens, I get it.
