I visited the Skechers outlet store on Hilton Head with my husband and purchased a pair of shoes. When I tried them at home, I realized that they were too tight. I went to the store a couple of days later to make a return or exchange. The shoes were in the original bag, box and with receipt. An older man who identified as David, Assistant Store Manager, was so rude and refused to make the return stating that the shoes were used. I told him they were not used, and it was clearly stated on the receipt “At Skechers, we guarantee 100% satisfaction on an item purchase. If for some reason you aren’t 100% satisfied with your purchase, we offer many options”. This man made me read aloud this policy to him in front of other clients in the store, and he still denied the return. I felt so humiliated that I went home and told my husband what happened. The next day my husband, who is Caucasian with blue eyes took the shoes back to the store and it was David who processed the refund without hesitation or any questions. We got to the conclusion that the older man who has several bad reviews for this store is either racist or sexist, but he is not sales or management material if he does not know how to treat people equally. I am a proud Hispanic American than has lived in this country for 25 years. See shoe...
Read moreI bought a pair of shoes and was going to purchase a second pair for half price but they didn't have the size I needed. So I bought the first pair and was told by the associate that they had the size I needed for the second pair at the Pooler, GA store. She informed me that I could show my receipt from the Bluffton store and they would honor the second pair for half price but I had to do it within two weeks. I immediately went to Pooler and when I talked to the manager, he informed me that the Bluffton store should not have told me that because they do not do that. Another words I drove 45 miles for nothing. I decided to purchase the same shoes (buy one and get the next one half price) at Pooler and return the other pair to the Bluffton store. This is poor management!!! I returned the pair of shoes to the Bluffton store and went on my way. They should at least give me a gift certificate or something because of giving me wrong information and going out of my way. The manager needs to call me so we can discuss but I know I will never hear from them. They should at least post something on this website to show they care. I would give them zero stars if I could but this site will...
Read moreThis is a definitely a buyer beware store! This is especially true for military service members. There is a large sign at the counter advertising a 10% discount for Military Service members. When I was not issued the discount, the very rude counter sales woman informed me that this was not eligible for a promotion item. I retrieved the sign from the counter and pointed out this was a thank you for service members not a promotion. I was courtly informed that it was just a promotion like other promotions. She told me to check in the box. Hidden in the box coupled to a large description of the shoe is a tiny round tab stating this is excluded from promotion. Better you should shop a different shoe at at different store than tolerate poor customer service backed by deceptive...
